Job description

We are seeking an experienced Legal Contract Specialist to provide temporary support to our Contracts Management team. This role will manage a high volume of commercial agreements, support the contract lifecycle from intake through execution, and help ensure contracts are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established legal and business requirements. This role does not involve drafting or negotiating agreements.

The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to independently manage routine to moderately complex contract workflows using approved templates, playbooks, and escalation guidelines.

  • Manage contracts throughout the entire lifecycle—including intake, internal approval routing, signature collection, and repository storage—for Master Subscription Agreements, Partner Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Amendments, and various other commercial agreements (this role does not involve drafting or negotiating agreements).
  • Coordinate with Legal, Procurement, Finance, Privacy, Security, Sales, and other key business stakeholders to obtain required information and approvals.
  • Communicate directly with internal stakeholders and external counterparties to resolve contract questions and move agreements toward completion.
  • Maintain accurate contract records, status updates, key dates, obligations, and supporting documentation in the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.
  • Monitor assigned contract requests, manage competing priorities, and consistently meet established service-level expectations.
  • Support contract renewals, amendments, terminations, and other post-execution activities.
  • Assist with contract reporting, data validation, backlog management, and special projects as needed.
  • Identify recurring issues, process gaps, and opportunities to improve overall contracting efficiency.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive business and legal information appropriately.

  • At least three years of experience supporting commercial contracts in a corporate legal department, law firm, procurement organization, or contracts management function.
  • Working knowledge of common contract provisions, including confidentiality, indemnification, limitation of liability, warranties, data protection, intellectual property, termination, and governing law.
  • Experience using contract lifecycle management (CLM) and electronic signature platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and the proven ability to independently manage a high-volume workload.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, proactive follow-through, and a strong customer-service orientation.
  • Ability to recognize issues requiring escalation and work effectively within defined authority levels.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, templates, and business requirements.
  • Experience supporting contracts within a technology, software, or SaaS company.
  • Experience with sales, vendor, procurement, or technology-related agreements.
  • Familiarity with privacy, data security, artificial intelligence, and regulatory considerations in commercial contracts.
  • Experience working with a global legal or contracts management team.
  • Experience with contract data validation, reporting, repository cleanup, or contract migration projects.
