Jr. Systems Analyst

 Spatial Front, Inc. (SFI) is seeking a Jr. Systems Analyst to support our Government customer (DoT). SFI was recently awarded the 2025 USA Today National Top Places to Work award and the 2025 Washington Post Top Workplaces. 

Work Location

Remote but ideally in the Washington DC area

Responsibilities:

• Provides incident triage and root-cause identification for application and system issues reported by FMCSA stakeholders, ensures timely fulfillment of service requests, monitors and optimizes AWS cloud resources, and collaborates with federal and state customers, developers, and IT teams.
• Tailor and monitor alerts for application and system availability and performance using WhatsUp Gold and AWS Synthetic Canaries
• Maintain existing resource attributes for AWS inventory
• Utilize AWS services to identify potential process and system improvements
• Apply software patches or configuration changes to address security issues on Windows or Linux servers and systems
• Perform or coordinate storage clean-up activities on servers
• Install releases in both non-production and production environments
• Work to resolve tier 2 and tier 3 tickets, including system and application-level outages with support as needed
• Basic knowledge of querying databases

• Minimum of 2 years of IT experience with an associate degree or 5 years or more of IT experience without a degree
• US Citizenship with an active Public Trust

Desired Skills

• Basic understanding of site certificates/renewals and CSR creations
• 2+ years of experience with AWS CloudWatch
• 2+ years of Windows and/or Linux experience 
• Understanding of network infrastructures, firewalls, and load balancers
• Ability to work in a flexible and fluid environment
• Experience with IT Service Management tools, e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, etc.

• The salary for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually
