Job description

Build the Future Workforce

Wand turns AI into labor. It enables humans and AI agents to operate together as a unified, hybrid workforce, with comprehensive management and oversight. And it’s already operating at scale inside some of the world’s largest organizations.

Wand built the world’s first Agentic Labor Infrastructure enabling governments and global enterprises to create, manage, and scale digital workforces.

Our mission is to integrate agent ecosystems into the core of work and business, unlocking a generational leap in the global economy. We’re building the infrastructure that lets humans and AI agents operate together safely, transparently, and at scale.

Join Wand in leading the Agentic Shift

Wand is building a high-performing global team who take full ownership of what they build. We lead by example, move fast, make data-aware decisions, and continuously push for more- always with a focus on delivering real value to customers.

You would be joining a world-class team that combines deep research expertise and real-world product execution, with experience spanning Deepmind, Google, Amazon, Miro, Elise AI, IBM and Accern.

Position Summary

We’re building the platform that allows users to design how AI agents and processes actually work. Think of canvas, visualisations, dynamic boxes, live connections, an interface that changes in real time as agents run. It's one of the most complex surfaces we've ever built, and we are hiring for a highly experienced Staff Engineer to own this end-end and set the frontend direction across our AI Studio.

Role Responsibilities

  • Design and own the interface for building agent workflows, with real time UI that updates live via WebSockets and server sent events.

  • Define and evolve micro-frontend architectures, and aligning multiple teams working within the AI studio interface without breaking patterns.

  • Build the dynamic, state driven interface layer that reflects what's actually happening, not a static form, and make the architecture calls that keep it scaling as complexity grows.

  • Partner with product and design to turn complex, ambiguous workflows into something people actually enjoy using.

  • Build reusable components, keep design patterns consistent, and connect the frontend to backend services and APIs (including the orchestration layer).

  • Keep code quality high through testing and review, and make the canvas fast: load times and responsiveness matter here more than almost anywhere else.

  • Ship through CI/CD with confidence, debug production issues, and document the architecture clearly enough that others can build on it.

  • Set and champion company-wide frontend best practices, including standards, tooling and review norms, and help other teams adopt them.

Key Requirements

  • Strong experience building modern, complex web apps, with a clear frontend lean.

  • Deep React and TypeScript experience.

  • Real time experience: WebSockets, server sent events, or both.

  • Canvas or node based UI experience (think Figma, Miro, or workflow builder style interfaces).

  • Strong grasp of modern frontend architecture and component based development.

  • Hands-on backend experience with RESTful APIs and building BFFs.

  • Solid HTML, CSS, and modern frontend framework fundamentals.

  • Experience with state management for genuinely complex, dynamic UI.

  • A track record of owning architecture and technical calls at a staff level, with influence across multiple teams.

  • Sharp debugging instincts.

  • Strong communicator, written and verbal.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience building highly interactive, data heavy interfaces.

  • Experience with component libraries or design systems.

  • Server side rendering or serious frontend performance work.

  • Comfortable with cloud hosted, distributed systems.

  • Experience shipping large scale, global B2B or B2C products.

  • Time spent in a fast scaling product and engineering org.
