Director Evernorth Pharmacy Analytics - Remote

The Business Analytics Director is a senior analytics and research leader responsible for shaping and executing the strategic analytics agenda for Evernorth Pharmacy Solutions. This role drives the generation of actionable insights, rigorous evidence, and innovative analytic capabilities that enable informed decision-making, improve business performance, and advance Evernorth's strategic objectives, including affordability, clinical outcomes, customer and client experience, growth, operational excellence, and market leadership.

Working across Pharmacy Benefit Services (PBS), Accredo Specialty Pharmacy, and enterprise stakeholders, the Director develops and oversees a portfolio of analytics, research, forecasting, and intelligence initiatives that translate data into measurable business impact. The role serves as a trusted advisor to executive, clinical, product, operations, financial, and market leaders, providing evidence-based recommendations that inform strategy, innovation, and investment decisions. Beyond insight generation, the Director is responsible for advancing the adoption of analytics, artificial intelligence, and decision-support capabilities into business operations, products, forecasting processes, and customer experiences to create scalable and measurable value.

The Director is also responsible for building and developing a high-performing team of analytics, data science, and research professionals, fostering a culture of scientific rigor, innovation, continuous learning, and business partnership. Success in this role requires the ability to combine deep healthcare and analytics expertise with strong leadership, strategic thinking, and an unwavering focus on delivering meaningful outcomes for customers, clients, and business.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the analytics, intelligence, and research roadmap for Evernorth Pharmacy Solutions, balancing investments and resources across competing business objectives including affordability, clinical outcomes, customer and client experience, growth, innovation, operational performance, and market leadership.
• Identify, prioritize, and evaluate strategic opportunities that drive measurable business impact, partnering with senior leaders to inform product strategy, program investments, affordability initiatives, and enterprise decision making.
• Lead the design and execution of program evaluations, outcomes research, and evidence-generation initiatives to assess the clinical, operational, financial, and customer impact of Evernorth programs, products, and services using publication-grade methodologies.
• Develop and deliver drug trend insights, forecasting models, therapeutic pipeline analyses, and emerging market intelligence to support business planning, client strategy, financial forecasting, and innovation priorities.
• Partner with business, clinical, product, technology, actuarial, finance, and operations leaders to quantify opportunities, evaluate new concepts and vendor solutions, define success metrics, and translate analytic findings into actionable business recommendations.
• Lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence solutions that improve clinical outcomes, affordability, engagement, and operational effectiveness across Evernorth Pharmacy Solutions.
• Drive the advancement of personalized experiences and intelligent decision support capabilities across PBS and Accredo through predictive models, recommendation engines, next-best-action strategies, AI-driven content, intelligent agents, and other analytics-enabled interventions.
• Embed intelligence into business operations, products, and customer experiences by partnering with product and operational teams to ensure analytic solutions are adopted, scalable, measurable, and aligned to business objectives.
• Produce and oversee high-quality research publications, conference presentations, white papers, thought leadership content, and market insights that strengthen Evernorth's industry leadership, support client engagement, and advance evidence-based healthcare innovation.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of analytics, data science, and research professionals while establishing best practices in forecasting, causal inference, real-world evidence generation, experimentation, AI governance, and responsible analytics deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Health Services Research, Data Science, Computer Science, Biostatistics, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in healthcare analytics, pharmacy analytics, health services research, consulting, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of healthcare, pharmacy benefit management, specialty pharmacy, pharmaceutical trends, and health services markets.
• Combination of analytical, technical, research, and business acumen, with the ability to connect complex analyses to meaningful business outcomes.
• Experience applying advanced analytics, forecasting, statistical modeling, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or related quantitative methods to address healthcare or business challenges.
• Knowledge of program evaluation, causal inference, real-world evidence, experimentation, outcomes measurement, or related research methodologies preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, anticipate emerging trends, and translate complex business questions into actionable analytic solutions.
• Proven track record of influencing business strategy and executive decision-making through data, analytics, and evidence-based insights.
• Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build alignment across clinical, product, operations, finance, technology, and commercial organizations.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and lead effectively in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment.
• Experience leading high-performing analytics, data science, or research teams within complex, matrixed organizations.
• Demonstrated success building organizational capabilities, developing talent, and fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts to executive, technical, and client-facing audiences.
• Demonstrated thought leadership through research, industry presentations, publications, market insights, or other externally facing contributions preferred.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 157,700 - 262,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
