Director, Enterprise Legal Management & Legal Technology

The Director, Enterprise Legal Management (ELM) serves as the business owner for the Legal organization's Enterprise Legal Management platform and related legal technology solutions. This leader will drive platform strategy, governance, optimization, reporting, and user adoption while partnering across Legal, IT, Finance, Procurement, and external vendors.

The role is responsible for ensuring legal technology solutions effectively support matter management, e-billing, operational workflows, reporting, analytics, and business objectives. This individual will play a key role in advancing Legal Operations capabilities through technology, process improvement, automation, and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the business owner and strategic leader for the Enterprise Legal Management (ELM) platform.
• Lead platform administration, configuration, testing, releases, enhancements, and ongoing optimization.
• Establish governance and operational standards for matter management, e-billing, workflows, user access, data quality, and reporting.
• Develop and execute the ELM platform roadmap in alignment with Legal Operations and business priorities.
• Partner with Legal, IT, Finance, Procurement, and external vendors to deliver scalable technology solutions and process improvements.
• Drive user adoption, training, change management, and platform best practices.
• Develop reporting, dashboards, and analytics to support legal operations performance, legal spend management, and decision making.
• Evaluate and implement legal technology enhancements, integrations, automation opportunities, and emerging capabilities.
• Manage vendor relationships and oversee delivery of technology solutions that support Legal Operations objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience supporting Legal Operations, Enterprise Legal Management (ELM), legal technology, or related legal systems.
• Hands-on experience administering, managing, or optimizing ELM and e-billing platforms such as TeamConnect, Collaborati, Legal Tracker, Onit, SimpleLegal, Mitratech, or similar legal technology solutions.
• Strong knowledge of legal matter management, e-billing, legal spend management, outside counsel management, workflow automation, and reporting.
• Experience serving as a business owner, platform owner, product owner, or administrator for enterprise legal technology solutions.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and building partnerships across Legal, IT, Finance, Procurement, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience evaluating, implementing, or enhancing legal technology platforms and related business processes.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 130,100 - 216,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
