Job Description:

Position Summary

The Compensation Manager manages the design, administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of Datasite’s compensation programs. This role supports fair, competitive, and data-informed pay practices that attract, retain, and motivate employees while aligning with business strategy and the organization’s compensation philosophy.

Reporting directly to the VP, People Rewards & Digital HR Solutions, the Compensation Manager serves as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners, leaders, and managers on compensation decisions. The role leads day-to-day compensation operations and supervises one Compensation Analyst.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the organization’s compensation programs, including base pay, merit, bonus, incentive, and related processes.
  • Lead annual and off-cycle compensation cycles, including planning, analysis, approvals, Workday system administration, reporting, and communications.
  • Conduct market pricing, job evaluations, salary structure reviews, internal equity analyses, and pay recommendations.
  • Maintain job architecture, compensation policies, guidelines, Workday data, and supporting documentation.
  • Advise HR Business Partners, managers, and leaders on compensation decisions, pay practices, job leveling, and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with HRIS, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and external vendors to improve data quality, reporting, controls, and process efficiency.
  • Lead pay equity reviews and support compliance with applicable pay transparency, wage-and-hour, and equal-pay requirements.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the Compensation Analyst while ensuring accurate, timely, and confidential service delivery.

Qualifications

Education/Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, finance, mathematics, statistics, or a related field required.
  • CCP, WorldatWork, SHRM, or other relevant certification preferred.

Experience

  • Five or more years of progressive compensation experience, including experience with salary structures, market pricing, annual compensation planning, and pay analysis.
  • Experience working with HRIS and compensation systems; Workday and Marketpay experience preferred.

·        Strong knowledge of compensation principles, market pricing, salary structures, job architecture, pay equity, incentive programs, and applicable compliance requirements.

·        Advanced analytical, spreadsheet, reporting, HRIS, project-management, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.

·        Excellent judgment, discretion, communication, consulting, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain complex compensation matters clearly.

Positions that Typically Report to this Position

Compensation Analyst

The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position based on a good faith assessment of the role and market data at the time of posting. Consistent with applicable law, each candidate’s compensation offer may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, your geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience along with the requirements of the position. This position may be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or overtime if applicable. Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), a retirement savings plan, paid time off, and other employee benefits. Specific details will be provided during the interview process. Datasite reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.

$99,000.00 - $172,700.00
