JOB SUMMARY:
The Engagement Manager is a key leader responsible for the planning, coordination, and successful execution of Consulting Services projects. Acting as the primary liaison between clients, advisors, consultants, and internal teams, the Engagement Manager ensures the seamless delivery of services throughout the entire project lifecycle.
In this client-facing role, the Engagement Manager collaborates closely with team members across all three Consulting Services departments to manage project budgets, timelines, logistics, and deliverables. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management capabilities, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and a proactive, solutions-driven mindset. Prior experience in legal services, litigation support, or trial consulting is preferred.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Resourcing & Scheduling
- Partner with the Resource Allocation (scheduling) team and Consulting Services leaders to manage and maintain project calendars across Consulting Services
- Identify, propose, and implement staffing and scheduling solutions for consulting engagements and multi-service projects
- Ensure alignment of project timelines, resource availability, and team priorities to support seamless project execution across all engagements
Billable Project Management
- Collaborate with consultants and cross-functional teams to develop accurate bids and proposals
- Oversee key project milestones, logistics, and deliverables in coordination with consultants, project support teams, and shared services
- Facilitate project kick-off and closure meetings and ensure team readiness for critical events such as on-sites and research projects
- Track project timeline and promote potential cross-selling and cross-serving opportunities at appropriate time
- Capture billing for all billable activities
- Provide recommendations for adding additional resources for project scope increases or new service add-ons, onboard those resources for successful and quick ramp up
Engagement Health Oversight
- Monitor and advise team on engagement agreement status and ensure that billing on Engagements without signed agreements doesn’t exceed approved thresholds
- Track project budgets, hours, and expenses throughout the engagement lifecycle, ensuring transparency and proactive communication
- Coordinate with billing teams and review billing packages for completeness to support timely and accurate invoicing
- Monitor status of collections on outstanding invoices, advising consultants when to become involved in the process to ensure timely outreach and coordination
Enhance Vendor Partnerships
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with external vendors
- Communicate departmental needs, manage service expectations, and ensure adherence to agreed-upon service levels

EDUCATION & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience required
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in litigation consulting, legal services, or a related professional services environment
- Foundational understanding of social science research methodologies, including both qualitative and quantitative data analysis, is preferred and considered an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Skilled in utilizing a variety of departmental tools and platforms, including database and case tracking systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Customer Voice, Power BI, and Dynamics is advantageous
LOCATION:
This position is 100% remote and supports east to west coast time zones. Ability to travel up to 10% is required.
