Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced AWS Serverless Developer with strong expertise in AWS serverless technologies, Terraform, Node.js, Java, and event-driven application development. The ideal candidate will design, develop, deploy, and support scalable backend services and cloud infrastructure while working with modern CI/CD, containerization, security, and observability practices.
Job Description
The AWS Serverless Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining backend services and REST APIs using Node.js and Java, while provisioning and managing AWS serverless infrastructure through Terraform.
The role requires hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, SQS, and EventBridge, along with experience deploying containerized applications on ROSA/OpenShift.
Must-Have Technical Skills
5–10 years of software development and cloud engineering experience
Strong hands-on experience with Terraform
Strong experience with AWS serverless services, including:
AWS Lambda
AWS Step Functions
API Gateway
DynamoDB
S3
SNS
SQS
EventBridge
Strong backend development experience with Node.js and Java
Experience developing REST APIs and event-driven integrations
Experience deploying and supporting containerized applications on ROSA/OpenShift
Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, security, and observability
Understanding of IAM roles, secrets management, and secure cloud configuration
Experience developing reusable Terraform modules
Experience managing Terraform remote state securely
Preferred Skills
Basic exposure to Generative AI / Amazon Bedrock
Experience with AWS cloud-native application architecture
Experience with automated infrastructure deployment
Experience troubleshooting production cloud applications
Knowledge of modern DevOps and DevSecOps practices
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain Node.js and Java backend services and REST APIs on AWS
Design and develop serverless applications using AWS Lambda and related services
Provision AWS infrastructure using reusable Terraform modules
Manage Terraform remote state and infrastructure configurations securely
Develop event-driven workflows using Step Functions, EventBridge, SNS, and SQS
Integrate AWS services including DynamoDB, S3, and API Gateway
Deploy and support containerized applications on ROSA/OpenShift
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments
Collaborate on automated testing, troubleshooting, security, and production support
Review infrastructure and application changes for reliability, scalability, and security
Implement appropriate IAM roles, secrets management, and secure cloud configurations
Monitor applications and infrastructure using appropriate observability practices
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
