(Technical) Product Owner (m/f/x)

The Position

TikFinity builds tools that more than a million active creators use to run their TikTok LIVEs: overlays, alerts, chatbots across several SaaS products and a mobile app. Behind it is a development team of 8 to 10 people that ships fast. Your job is to make sure fast also means focused.

One thing first, because it decides whether this role is for you: the what is set by product management. Our CPO defines the features. You own the how and the when. You turn those decisions into planned, estimated, delivered software. You take part in every ideation round and your product ideas are heard, but the final feature call is not yours. We work AI-first. Our developers build with Anthropic's Claude, and at that speed the classic two-week Scrum sprint starts to feel like the bottleneck. We have deliberately not installed Scrum by the book, and we don't want to. What the right process looks like in the AI era is an open question. Answering it is the most interesting part of this job: you design the system our team runs on.

Duties

• Plan, estimate, and run development cycles with a team of 8 to 10 developers, from planning through delivery to retro

• Turn feature decisions from product management into specs and work packages the team can build without guesswork

• Own delivery: scope, timelines, blockers, and the honest status report when something slips

• Design and evolve our agile process: keep what works from Scrum and similar frameworks, drop what doesn't, and build a system that fits an AI-first team

• Challenge developers on estimates and trade-offs, with our Lead Dev as your sparring partner

• Run planning and documentation in Asana and GitHub, with Claude as a daily tool

• Report to the CPO and feed your own ideas into the product discussion

Division

Requirements

• Several years of experience running software development teams as a Product Owner or Project Manager, ideally in SaaS

• A software engineering background. Best case: you trained as an engineer, wrote production code for a year or two, then deliberately chose the product path

• Enough technical depth to question an estimate and hold your own in a discussion with a Lead Dev

• Hands-on experience with agile frameworks, plus the independence to change them where they don't fit

• Structured and decisive: you make calls with incomplete information and stand behind them

• Fluent German and English, written and spoken

• Based in Germany or Austria, or a comparable time zone

Great to have

• Familiarity with the creator, streaming, or TikTok LIVE space

• You have built or rebuilt a team's development process before, and can say what you kept and what you threw away

• Experience using AI tools in planning and documentation work

Compensation

Gross salary for this role ranges from €70,000 to €85,000 per year (full-time). For roles based in Austria, this is an all-in contract. Depending on country and type of employment, we are open to negotiate.
