Job Description

Responsible for the planning, execution, and closing of any project. They are the person responsible for accomplishing the stated project objectives. They are the single point of accountability for project execution with oversight from the key stakeholders. Project managers have the full responsibility for completing the project, and the authority required to do so. 10+ years applicable IT
5+ years people management
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in another technical discipline. or 10+ years of demonstrable project management experience is acceptable.
Actively participate in developing and executing the strategy for the function
Establishes and implements individual and team priorities, performance goals and objectives to ensure completion of responsibility for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Provides training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and gives honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent.
Manages and evaluates individual/team performance and takes appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards.
Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality.
Manages assigned area(s) of responsibility to ensure workloads are appropriately balanced among team members.
Ensures that top talent is hired and retained for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Defines and builds organizational capabilities necessary to meet the business strategy.
Serve as the single point of accountability for execution for lower risk projects. May support larger complex projects under guidance project managers.
Mentor and provide guidance to all project managers
Provide with communications to stakeholders and corporate leadership team members on status and impacts to scope, budget, risk, and resources of the project.
Execute the SDLC and/or Agile methodologies and governing processes consistently.
Supports and tracks development of the budget for the project.

For SDLC:
Create clear and attainable project deliverables, based on project requirements.
Manage the constraints of the project parameters (cost, time, scope, quality).
Create detailed project plan documents and task-level assignments to organize cross-functional teams. These should include monitoring work efforts, identifying resource needs, performing quality review, reporting status, and escalating issues appropriately.
Serve as the single point of accountability for project execution.
Anticipates, evaluates, and resolves project issues, delays, and problems by utilizing project management and business expertise.
Track key project milestones and adjust project plans and/or resources to meet conditions.

For Agile
Be familiar with Scrum and Kanban methodologies
Lead the scrum team to determine sprint deliverables.
Lead the Kanban teams in prioritizing and delivering work.

DOT Requirements

If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.

$125,200.00 - $187,700.00

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
