Procore Functional Trainer – Project Delivery


The Position in a Nutshell

We are seeking an experienced Trainer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive end-user and super-user training in support of the end-to-end Project Execution Process. The initial focus of this role is Procore functional training as part of an enterprise-wide transformation program, with SAP S/4HANA Project Systems training as a secondary responsibility. Over time, the scope of training will expand to include all facets required to successfully deliver customer Projects for Sciens. This role partners with business process owners, functional consultants, change management teams, and project leadership to ensure employees are prepared to effectively use Procore and related Project Delivery solutions.

The trainer develops engaging learning materials, facilitates instructor-led and virtual training, creates e-learning content, and measures user adoption to support a successful Procore-enabled transformation.


What You'll Be Doing (and Doing Well!)

Training Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute the Procore training strategy aligned with project milestones.
  • Perform training needs assessments across business functions.
  • Build role-based learning paths for end users, super users, managers, and support teams.
  • Coordinate training schedules with project managers and business stakeholders.

Content Development

  • Create instructor-led training materials, participant guides, quick reference cards, job aids, simulations, videos, and e-learning modules.
  • Develop role-specific training exercises using Procore project and field-management scenarios.
  • Maintain training documentation as Procore and related system functionality evolves.
  • Ensure materials align with organizational standards and branding.

Training Delivery

  • Deliver classroom, virtual, and hands-on Procore training sessions.
  • Facilitate workshops and system demonstrations.
  • Support Train-the-Trainer programs.
  • Coach business super users and local champions.

User Adoption

  • Monitor learner participation and training completion.
  • Assess learner competency through quizzes and practical exercises.
  • Collect feedback and continuously improve training effectiveness.
  • Support user adoption initiatives during go-live and hypercare.

Business Collaboration

  • Partner with Functional Leads across Procore modules (Project Management, Financials, Field Productivity, Quality & Safety) and, as needed, SAP functional areas including Finance (FI/CO), Procurement (MM), Sales (SD), SAP C4C, and SAP CPQ.
  • Translate business processes into easy-to-understand learning content.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to understand new functionality.

Change Management Support

  • Support Organizational Change Management (OCM) initiatives.
  • Assist with communications regarding system changes.
  • Reinforce new business processes and standard operating procedures.

What We Like About You

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Information Systems, Education, or a related field.

Travel nationally up to 20% to support business objectives, team engagement, and operational alignment.

Experience

  • 3+ years of Procore functional training, implementation, or administration experience.
  • Experience supporting at least one full Procore rollout or enterprise system implementation.
  • Strong understanding of construction project delivery and ERP business processes.
  • Experience developing learning materials using Microsoft Office and digital adoption platforms (e.g., WalkMe or similar).
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Skills

  • Deep working knowledge of Procore — Project Management, Financial Management, and Field Productivity tools.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Experience working within an Agile implementation methodology.
  • Prosci Change Management certification or similar is a plus.
  • Procore Certification (Project Manager, Administrator, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience Training Users On One or More of the Following

  • Procore – Essential
  • SAP Project Systems (PS)
  • SAP Finance (FI/CO)
  • Materials Management (MM) – Procurement and Inventory Management
  • Sales & Distribution (SD)
  • Master Data
  • SAP Fiori Launchpad
  • SAP Analytics and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Procore Certification is a plus.
  • SAP experience or SAP-related certifications are a plus (no longer required).
  • Certification in Change Management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of the Finance Functional Domain is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Signavio is a plus.
