Now Hiring: Provider Support Specialist | Fully Remote | Full-Time | Starting October 2026

Ampersand Therapy is seeking a driven Provider Support Specialist to support employee onboarding, compliance, and ongoing HR operations. This is a full-time, salaried position.


Ampersand Therapy is a women- and therapist-led education staffing company with a passion for supporting students, school districts, and school professionals. The Provider Support Specialist plays a key role in ensuring a smooth and compliant experience for both new hires and current employees. This position is responsible for coordinating onboarding requirements, maintaining employee records and systems, and supporting core HR processes.

Responsibilities:

HR & Operations

  • Oversee timekeeping processes and issue resolution
  • Manage reimbursement and expense processes, including approvals and employee support
  • Provide employee support triage and respond to operational and HR-related inquiries
  • Verify professional licenses and track pending and expiring licenses
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with onboarding and employment requirements

Onboarding & New Hire Experience

  • Coordinate onboarding requirements, including district and state-specific requirements (e.g., Faith's Law, district level paperwork, fingerprinting, and drug screenings)
  • Manage onboarding workflows and ensure timely completion of onboarding steps
  • Prepare and send offer letters, assignment confirmations, and initial welcome communications
  • Serve as a point of contact for onboarding updates and employment status changes

Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 1 year of administrative experience, including exposure to human resources and recruitment processes. School-based professional experience (e.g., teacher, SLP, or related role) will be considered in lieu of administrative experience.  
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Gmail, Sheets) and comfort learning new systems; experience with HRIS/HCM systems preferred
  • Organization: Strong organizational abilities with excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, remote environment
