Sr. Windows Administrator

Position Summary 

The Windows Admin provides ongoing Systems Administration support, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, applications, and connectivity components for Windows environments across multiple locations. This role provides technical support and advises on the use of programming tools, database systems, and networks.

Operational responsibilities include remediation of daily incident tickets, system compliance, system run enhancement, testing, staging, policy/procedure enhancement, client contact coordination, and operational recommendations to address availability and reliability issues on Windows systems. 

Core Responsibilities 

Systems Administration & Support 

• Provides Systems Administration support for multiple organizations across the company, building on responsibilities such as: 

• “Provides Systems Administration hands-on support, troubleshooting and technical guidance.” 

• Analyzes and recommends commercially available hardware and software capable of meeting network, systems, and user requirements. 

• Contributes to the design, development, and maintenance of Systems Administration infrastructure (operating systems, virtualization platforms, Cloud infrastructure, directory and identity services, monitoring and management, middleware and applications). 

• Initiates and implements automation, process intelligence, and AI-enabled solutions to support data-driven decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and enhance service delivery 

Client Engagement & Requirements 

• Engages with clients to gather specifications, requirements, and systems expectations. 

• Coordinates with client contacts to align operational recommendations with business needs. 

Performance & Testing 

• Configures and maintains software performance, stress, and load tests, and makes recommendations based on results. 

• Remediates daily incident tickets to maintain Windows system availability and reliability. 

Training & Knowledge Transfer 

• Conducts training sessions with users and Systems Administration team members. 

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• BA/BS degree and 6-8 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience. 

• Strong expertise in Windows systems administration. 

• Experience with Microsoft Server, including clustering. 

• Experience with VMware. 

• Required knowledge of disaster recovery (DR) and high-availability (HA) principles, including in cloud environments — Oracle OCI and Microsoft Azure. 

• U.S. Citizenship and U.S. residency required.
