Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, establishing best practices, coding standards, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable applications across both frontend and backend systems.
- Build modern user-facing applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Design and develop reliable backend services, APIs, integrations, and data flows using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Drive technical decisions and take ownership of the overall technical roadmap, balancing delivery speed, scalability, maintainability, and code quality.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Ensure the performance, security, reliability, and availability of applications and services, with a strong focus on maintainability and zero-downtime deployments.
- Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to increase team efficiency, improve the developer experience, and enhance the end-user product.
- Lead technical discussions, evaluate new technologies, and proactively identify opportunities to improve and evolve our technology stack.
- Contribute hands-on throughout the development lifecycle, including solution design, implementation, code reviews, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years in a lead role.
- Strong fullstack development experience, with the ability to work confidently across frontend and backend systems.
- Deep knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Strong proficiency in React and Next.js.
- Solid experience developing backend services and APIs using Node.js and frameworks such as Express or NestJS.
- Good understanding of databases, system integrations, cloud infrastructure, and modern software architecture.
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools and workflows to improve the development process and enable teams to work faster and smarter.
- Experience leading or mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, establishing engineering standards, and setting technical direction.
- Strong understanding of software quality, security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Experience working closely with product and design teams to turn business and user needs into effective technical solutions.
