We're looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Wellbeing Business Partner to join our Health, Safety & Wellbeing Squad and support the continued growth of Amplar Health. 

This is a newly created role supporting diverse healthcare environments including hospital-in-the-home, community and in-home care services, virtual care and call centre operations. You'll partner with leaders to identify risks, strengthen safety capability, influence decision-making and drive positive health, safety and wellbeing outcomes. 

This is not a traditional corporate safety role. 

You'll support diverse and evolving healthcare environments, including in-home care, hospital-in-the-home services, virtual and call centre operations, and community-based healthcare settings. These are dynamic environments where work is often performed outside of controlled workplaces, requiring a pragmatic and commercially minded safety professional who can confidently navigate complexity and influence stakeholders at all levels. 

What you'll do 

• Partner with leaders to embed Medibank's Health, Safety & Wellbeing strategy 

• Provide expert advice on WHS legislation, risk management and compliance 

• Lead incident investigations, risk assessments and audit activities 

• Analyse safety and people data to identify trends and improvement opportunities 

• Develop and enhance our HSW frameworks, policies and programs 

• Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence positive safety outcomes 

About you 

You are a confident, resilient and commercially minded safety professional who can build credibility quickly and navigate complex stakeholder environments. 

You'll bring: 

• 6+ years' experience in Health, Safety & Wellbeing 

• Experience partnering with leaders in healthcare, community services, emergency services, aged care, disability, justice or other field-based operational environments 

• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and risk management practices 

• Advanced reporting and data analysis capability 

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills 

• The ability to work autonomously, challenge constructively and drive outcomes 

• Relevant qualifications in WHS, Occupational Health, Risk Management or a related discipline

This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work from home. As the majority of key stakeholders are based in Melbourne and Adelaide, we particularly welcome applications from candidates located in Adelaide or those able to travel regularly to support effective stakeholder engagement and partnership.
