Software Engineer II

CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer II opening for our client.

Location: Remote
Duration: 2 months

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, debug, and support applications and systems.
• Develop and maintain solutions using .NET, C#, Java, REST APIs, Azure Functions, Durable Functions, and Azure App Services.
• Develop and maintain MSSQL/Azure SQL databases and solutions.
• Analyze technical issues, application dependencies, and requirements; recommend and implement solutions.
• Prepare technical specifications, documentation, test plans, and project estimates.
• Collaborate with technology teams, business units, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver projects.
• Monitor application performance using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
• Follow development standards, risk controls, and technology procedures.

Scope of Responsibilities:

• Work independently on complex systems analysis, development, testing, and technical activities.
• Manage multiple projects and coordinate development tasks as needed.
• Provide technical guidance and collaborate with technology and business teams.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

• May coordinate development activities and provide technical guidance to less experienced resources.
• May lead assigned technical or project activities.

Education and Experience Required:

• Associate degree and 5 years of systems analysis/application development experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with .NET/C#, Java, REST APIs, Azure, Azure Functions, App Services, and SQL.
• Experience with application development, debugging, testing, and issue resolution.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and work effectively with business and technology teams.

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Durable Functions, and Azure infrastructure.
• Knowledge of application frameworks and integrated applications.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $46.64 - $77.74/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
