Job description

McCue, a division of Bunzl, is seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Coordinator to join our sales development team. The Business Development Coordinator will focus on prospecting, lead generation, and closing new business opportunities while working closely with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to expand McCue’s market presence in the retail sector. The ideal candidate is motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, commission-based environment.

McCue is recognized as a global market leader in asset protection and people safety solutions, cart corrals, barrier systems, crash-rated bollards, and industrial safety products deployed across grocery, retail, warehouse, healthcare, QSR, and industrial environments.

Central or East coast time zone preferable.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the retail sector
  • Generate and qualify leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers and business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers and strategic partners
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales and revenue goals through proactive business development efforts
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to support growth initiatives and outreach campaigns
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and support business strategies
  • Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to potential customers
  • Track and maintain all customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunities within HubSpot
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition of new customers for ongoing account management
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote McCue products and services
  • Maintain accurate business development records, reports, and performance metrics
  • Support additional business development and sales initiatives as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; degree in Professional Selling, Marketing, or Business is a plus.
  • Telephone sales experience preferred.
  • Strong prospecting and lead generation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Proficiency in HubSpot and ZoomInfo is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Must have practical sales experience, preferably in food/meat processing, industrial processing, personal protection equipment, or plant operating supplies.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work in a team setting with a diverse group of employees, managers, and outside parties.
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel required.
  • Some travel is required with overnight stays.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,00.00 based on education, experience and geographical location.

  • Paid time off, including (Pro-rated based on hire date):
    • 10 vacation days and 2 personal days annually (prorated in the first year based on hire date).
    • 40 hours sick for exempt | 56 hours sick for non-exempt per year, in accordance with Washington State law.
    • 6 paid national holidays and 2 floating holidays
