Job description

We're looking for a Director of Product to lead product strategy and execution across Holistic AI's enterprise AI governance and assurance platform.

You'll own product direction end to end: setting priorities, aligning Engineering and go-to-market around customer outcomes, and building a coherent roadmap as we scale. You'll work across Product, Engineering, Pre-Sales, Field Deployment, Sales and leadership to turn complex customer needs in AI governance, assurance, risk and regulatory alignment into a clear product strategy. As we grow, you'll also shape the product function itself: its people, its processes and how it works.

About Holistic AI

Holistic AI builds AI governance and assurance tooling for enterprise customers. Our platform supports responsible AI testing and governance practices. We're a team of about 40 people, planning careful growth: quality over speed.

What you'll do

  • Own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for our core platform.
  • Translate enterprise customer needs across AI governance, assurance, risk, compliance and regulatory alignment into clear product priorities.
  • Lead product discovery with customers and commercial teams to understand problems, validate opportunities and find where to build next.
  • Partner with Engineering, Pre-Sales, Field Deployment and Sales to align discovery, prioritisation, delivery and customer adoption.
  • Make clear prioritisation calls that balance customer value, commercial opportunity, product quality, technical complexity and engineering capacity.
  • Define product success metrics, and use customer feedback, market insight and data to judge outcomes and set future priorities.
  • Communicate product strategy and roadmap decisions clearly across the company.
  • Put product processes in place that support scale without adding bureaucracy.
  • Build, mentor and develop product capability as the company grows.
  • Represent Product at leadership level and, where appropriate, with strategic customers and external stakeholders.
  • Bring technical, regulatory, customer and commercial perspectives together into sound product decisions.
  • Stay close to developments in AI, regulation, standards and enterprise requirements so product direction stays relevant.

What you'll bring

  • Significant product leadership experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise software or a related technology environment.
  • A track record of owning product strategy and roadmap outcomes end to end, in close partnership with Engineering.
  • Experience turning complex customer, market and business needs into clear product priorities.
  • Strong commercial awareness: you understand how product decisions drive customer value and business growth.
  • The ability to work well with technical, regulatory, commercial and customer-facing stakeholders.
  • Sound prioritisation and product judgement, and the confidence to make and explain difficult trade-offs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with senior leadership and technical teams alike.
  • Experience in a scaling organisation where processes, teams and product capabilities are still evolving.
  • A collaborative leadership style that brings teams together around a common product direction.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ownership of outcomes.

Nice to have

  • A background in AI/ML products, AI governance, risk, compliance, security or enterprise software.
  • Experience building products for regulated, risk-sensitive or complex enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, regulations, standards and assurance methods, including the EU AI Act and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF).
  • Experience working with senior enterprise stakeholders across technology, security, risk, compliance, legal or business functions.
  • Previous Director, Head of Product or equivalent senior product leadership scope.
  • Experience leading or developing product teams in a growing organisation.
  • Experience with international customers and distributed engineering or commercial teams.

What success looks like

Success means a clear product direction and strong alignment on what we build, why we build it and how we measure its impact. You'll know it's working when:

  • Product strategy is clearly connected to customer needs, market opportunity and company objectives.
  • The roadmap is focused, understood across the company and backed by clear prioritisation decisions.
  • Engineering, Product and commercial teams are aligned on priorities and outcomes.
  • Discovery consistently brings real customer and market insight into decisions.
  • Releases deliver measurable customer and business value.
  • Decisions are informed by evidence, data, customer feedback and commercial context.
  • Product processes get more effective as the company scales.
  • The product function has the capability, talent and structure for the next stage of growth.

Why join us

AI governance is becoming a core concern for organisations adopting and deploying AI. In this role you'll shape products that help enterprises understand, manage and demonstrate responsible AI practice across their organisations.

You'll work closely with experienced colleagues across Engineering, Sales, Pre-Sales, Field Deployment and leadership, with direct exposure to enterprise customers and the challenges they face as AI adoption and regulation evolve. The scope to influence product direction, build product capability and shape how we approach product as we scale is significant.

Location and working model

  • United Kingdom.
  • Remote or hybrid, as agreed with leadership.
  • Close collaboration with Engineering and commercial teams across regions.
  • Regular engagement with customers and internal stakeholders.
