The Opportunity:
The Facilities & Engineering Production Planner/Master Scheduler plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors final approval of products through the complete production cycle. Works from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements.
Coordinates production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules. Master Scheduler: Provides input to management; schedules and/or interfaces with marketing, sales, production and engineering managers. Works to resolve (in case of design changes) labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.
Oversees ,the Master schedules and ensures comprehensive compliance with materials requirements for manufacturing.
The role:
Responsible for managing all work order requests for equipment/item moves on the SSF campus and helps to ensure all customer commitments are met.
Responsible for providing daily oversight of a team of full-time moving contractors and moving trucks.
Responsible for planning and coordinating move requests for equipment, instruments and other items located on the SSF site to ensure customer service levels are maintained. Move requests can include Dixon, Santa Clara and Pleasanton sites.
Focus on helping the assigned maintenance work center achieve successful execution of customer-initiated work according to GMP, EHS, and customer requirements.
Acts as a key point of contact between customers, vendors, and our internal partners as required to meet departmental service delivery objectives.
The Planner / Scheduler’s role is to support the F&E Department in:
Planning & Scheduling equipment moves in accordance with applicable SOPs
Reporting and evaluating Metrics against desired outcomes
Benchmarking Support Activities and suggesting improvements
Running report in CMMS and CCMS as needed to meet customer requests.
Maintaining a 4 to 6 weeks Planned Work horizon to ensure on-time completion by the Basic Finish Date.
Meeting with customers and physically inspecting work locations as needed to plan for successful execution.
Partnering with MRO, LES, CoolOps and MOLS teams to coordinate moves that impact other teams.
Determining estimated labor hours to execute planned operational activities and monitor actual versus planned work times to help achieve departmental goals for planning accuracy, and make suggestions for improvement.
Building and maintaining a strong relationship with all stakeholders, including, but not limited to,MRO Stores, vendors, contractors, customers, and CMMS administrators.
Monitors the CMMS database to ensure accuracy of financial settlements and user cost center data.
Achieving schedule efficiency scheduling and bundling jobs based on location, equipment type, technician training, and work load capacity.
Providing input to management in order to optimize resources and capacity and meet objectives for efficiencies and customer service.
Assist department manager in providing information and data to ensure on-time performance of work crew and vendor spend.
Assist in developing and integrating innovative work order processing solutions that lead to efficiencies in the F&E Department.
Assist in developing operational excellence / continuous improvement initiatives and benchmarking.
Maintain schedule stability in terms of material and capacity requirements based on planning, training, and work load capacity by coordinating, scheduling and bundling jobs.
Completing other tasks and projects as determined by the supervisor.
Who you are:
High School Diploma or GED paired with a 2-year technical degree (Instrumentation/Industrial Electronics or related STEM/engineering field), equivalent military technical training, or 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or R&D environments.
Demonstrated expertise in comprehensive industrial moving procedures, job hazard analysis, heavy equipment moving, including rigging, and sensitive material handling.
Ability to work under minimal or no direct supervision.
Proven ability to provide operational leadership, site orientation, and task management to external contractors and specialized service teams.
Full technical proficiency in the application, operation, and enforcement of department safety protocols and personal/facility protective equipment.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and customer service orientation, with a meticulous, detail-oriented approach to identifying and satisfying specific client requirements.
Strong functional command of corporate intranet platforms, business software suites, and data management/spreadsheet programs.
Demonstrated capability in supervising specialized crews or team members operating in sensitive office and laboratory settings.
Highly developed communication protocols for directly managing requests, updates, and expectations across corporate leadership, research scientists, and end-users.
Demonstrated flexibility and availability to respond promptly to off-hours emergency calls and urgent facility support requirements.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco is $84,600.00 -$157,000.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed in this link.
