We are looking for an experienced Data / Platform Engineer to join our team and work closely with a U.S.-based client on building and supporting scalable, secure, and production-ready cloud platforms and data infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in software, platform, or data engineering, with hands-on expertise in Azure PaaS, cloud infrastructure, and observability pipelines. This role is particularly focused on building reliable telemetry solutions using OpenTelemetry, while ensuring that data and platform services meet security, privacy, and production requirements.

Requirements:

  • Advanced English proficiency (B2/C1/C2) with the ability to communicate fluently with U.S.-based clients and technical teams.
  • 5+ years of experience in software, platform, data engineering, or a related field, with experience shipping and supporting production systems.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Azure experience, or experience with another major cloud provider combined with strong transferable knowledge of Azure PaaS.
  • 2+ years of experience building observability or telemetry pipelinesHands-on experience with OpenTelemetry, including:
  1. OTLP
  2. OpenTelemetry Collectors
  3. Spans and traces
  4. Semantic conventions
  • Experience working with Azure PaaS services such as:
  1. Azure Container Apps or AKS
  2. Azure API Management
  3. Azure Data Explorer (ADX/Kusto) and/or Application Insights
  4. ADLS Gen2 / Blob Storage
  5. Azure Key Vault
  6. Microsoft Entra ID
  • Strong experience with Python or Node.js, plus Bash.
  • Experience implementing PII and secret scrubbing using techniques such as regex, entropy detection, redaction, and tokenization.
  • Solid understanding of cloud security, including RBAC, private networking, access controls, and audit requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data and platform solutions in Microsoft Azure.
  • Develop and support production systems, cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and platform services.
  • Build and maintain observability and telemetry pipelines using OpenTelemetry, working with OTLP, OpenTelemetry Collectors, spans, traces, and semantic conventions.
  • Work extensively with Azure PaaS services, including Azure Container Apps or AKS, API Management, Azure Data Explorer (ADX/Kusto), Application Insights, ADLS Gen2/Blob Storage, Key Vault, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Develop automation, tooling, and platform components using Python or Node.js, as well as Bash.
  • Implement processes to identify and protect sensitive information within telemetry and data, including PII and secret scrubbing, redaction, tokenization, regex-based detection, and entropy-based detection.
  • Implement and maintain security controls including RBAC, private networking, access management, and auditing.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve the reliability, scalability, security, and observability of platform and data systems.
  • Collaborate directly with U.S.-based technical stakeholders and communicate technical solutions clearly in English.
  • Contribute to technical design and architectural decisions across data, cloud, and platform engineering initiatives.
