Position: Senior Associate, People & Culture Operations

Position Description
The Senior Associate, People & Culture Operations provides operational and implementation support across the People & Culture function, including support to UUSA’s Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (EIB) portfolio. Reporting to the Chief People & Operations Officer, who manages the scope and priorities with the incumbent, and working closely with the People & Culture team, the Sr. Associate keeps recurring programs, engagement, recognition, and culture activities, and operational processes running smoothly, which includes coordinating logistics, executing established processes, maintaining records and systems, and providing the day-to-day support to the P&C team.
Position Responsibilities
Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Portfolio Support (30%)
- Provide operational and implementation support across the EIB portfolio, including portfolio coordination, milestone and follow-through tracking, and portfolio reporting, under the strategic direction of the Vice President, Equity and Community Building.
- Coordinate meeting logistics, documentation, vendor and speaker arrangements, surveys, contracts and invoices, budget tracking, and event logistics for EIB initiatives.
- Support EIB communications and change-enablement activities, including communications-calendar coordination, stakeholder-engagement support, and resource development, in coordination with the Assistant Director, People & Culture.
- Provide administrative coordination for the EIB portfolio, including event logistics, and document management.
Employee Engagement, Recognition & Culture (40%)
- Coordinate timeline, sequencing, and/or logistical support for employee engagement, recognition, and culture-building initiatives that support staff connection and the overall organizational experience.
- Support the planning and execution of staff events, wellness activities, intentional engagement programming, and organization-wide gatherings, including signature events such as the Impact Summit and Take Your Child to Work Day, providing onsite and logistics support in partnership with the Assistant Director, People & Culture.
- Administer employee recognition and service award programs — including service-anniversary communications and awards and team recognition — encompassing communications, tracking, and event coordination, and operating within established purchasing and financial controls.
- Assist with employee engagement communications and surveys, and provide operational support for culture and engagement initiatives.
- Provide logistical and operational support for all-staff meetings, engagement activities, and employee experience programs across UNICEF USA.
People & Culture Operations Support (30%)
- Primary administrator of the People and Culture inbox, routing request and inquiries to relevant P&C team members.
- Enter and maintain personnel data in ADP for new hires, terminations, and other employee changes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of records.
- Maintain People & Culture documents, including the employee map, department and organization charts, and anniversary slides for All Staff meetings.
- Lead and monitor People & Culture MarComms requests.
- Administer platform access for the People & Culture and Administration helpdesk and coordinate related access requests.
- Provide general operational, administrative, and transactional support to the People & Culture team and the Chief People & Operations Officer, including documentation, coordination, and process execution as needed.
- Handle sensitive personnel and organizational information with discretion, and support the migration of recognition and collection activities to controlled, auditable processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and two to four years of relevant experience in human resources, operations, administration, program coordination, or event and logistics support.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple recurring responsibilities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency with, or the ability to quickly learn, core People & Culture and productivity systems (e.g., ADP, Formstack, PolicyTech, Microsoft Office and Teams).
- Sound judgment and a high degree of discretion in handling sensitive personnel and organizational information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a service-oriented, collaborative approach to working across teams.
- Genuine interest in equity, inclusion, and belonging, and enthusiasm for supporting EIB initiatives.
- Ability to work within established financial and purchasing controls.
- Demonstrated interest in and commitment to UNICEF USA’s mission and to advancing outcomes for children.
