Job description

Ciklum is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team full-time in Slovakia.

We are a custom product engineering company that supports both multinational organizations and scaling startups to solve their most complex business challenges. With a global team of over 4,000 highly skilled developers, consultants, analysts and product owners, we engineer technology that redefines industries and shapes the way people live.

About the role:

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

You will join an established product team as an external consultant working with a greenfield packaging and automation product initiative. Our team builds the IT software that directly powers and supports our global factory floor area, focusing on key operational pillars: high-level automation, process optimization, system reliability, and overall user experience for shop floor staff. In this role, you will work side by side with our internal engineers, product managers, and UI/UX design colleagues to contribute to brand new applications, user interfaces, and frontend workflows from scratch.

A vital aspect of this assignment is active knowledge sharing, collaborative problem solving, and comprehensive architectural documentation. Because this is a greenfield setting, you will have the opportunity to help shape engineering practices, coding conventions, and architectural design patterns that will define the codebase for years to come. You will operate within a high-throughput environment where autonomy and clear peer communication are essential. Your deliverables must be fully maintainable, clean, and well-tested so that the internal team can seamlessly take over and operate them once the consultant engagement ends.

This is a full-time, senior-level nearshore assignment with an initial contract duration of 3 months, with a strong possibility of further extension based on project roadmap needs and delivery performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Build the user interfaces for new packaging and automation applications, taking components from initial implementation and design system setup all the way to production deployment
  • Contribute to backend services, CRUD operations, and integrations that sit directly behind user-facing applications, maintaining a workload split of 70% frontend engineering and 30% backend and platform tasks
  • Collaborate closely with product designers to turn conceptual wireframes, user flows, and prototypes into consistent, highly usable, and accessible interfaces for factory floor operators and office users
  • Coordinate with the Lead Engineer to define delivery scope, ensure high code quality, maintain frontend performance, and establish solid test coverage across the application stack
  • Spar, co-create, and actively collaborate with team members to shape frontend engineering practices, component conventions, and state management strategies in a greenfield setting
  • Maintain high-throughput feature delivery without trading away software correctness, automated testing (unit/E2E), or code maintainability
  • Take full ownership of backlog tasks, independently make sound technical decisions where specifications are incomplete, and document solutions for long-term team usability
  • Ensure seamless knowledge transfer so that internal colleagues can easily maintain and extend all developed features after project handover

Requirements:

  • AI Developer Experience (Expert): Daily hands-on use of AI coding tools and agents (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex) for planning, spec-driven development, implementation, testing, and reviews; tunes setup and owns output
  • React with TypeScript (Expert): Deep expertise in strict TypeScript, client and server state management, design system implementation, test automation (Vitest, Playwright), performance optimization, and web accessibility standards
  • .NET / C# (Working Proficiency): Practical ability to ship changes, CRUD features, and integrations in an ASP.NET Core Web API codebase (not expected to lead backend architecture)
  • DevOps & Infrastructure: Familiarity with DevOps YAML pipelines, comfortable reading/adjusting CI/CD pipelines, and working with containerized runtime environments (Docker)
  • Autonomous & Greenfield Mindset: High throughput delivery, strong ownership of backlog items, proactive stakeholder communication, and architectural documentation in undefined settings
  • Preferred: Experience building industrial engineering-facing UIs, data-dense screens for configuration, real-time line monitoring, and diagnostics
  • Preferred: Handling real-time data in the frontend using WebSockets, SignalR, MQTT, or event streams
  • Preferred: Strong collaboration habits with designers (Figma, design critique, early prototyping), automated straight-to-production testing, and practicing the scout principle

What’s in it for you?

  • Strong community: Work alongside top professionals in a friendly, open-door culture that values initiative and empowers its people to succeed
  • Fast-paced & agile environment: Be part of a dynamic, fast-moving organization that champions efficiency and innovation
  • Global exposure: Collaborate with international, cross-functional teams and contribute to large-scale initiatives
  • Tailored learning: Boost your skills with internal events (meetups, conferences, workshops), Udemy access, language courses, and company-paid certifications
  • Flexibility: Balance office and remote work to fit your rhythm
  • Care: Take advantage of our extensive benefits offering, aligned with the best market standards

The salary starts from 3500 Euro gross. The final salary depends on the previous experience and professional knowledge of the candidate.
