Job description

The Manager, Communications & Engagement will serve as a versatile communications generalist supporting a wide range of internal and executive communications needs across the business. This person will flex across projects and stakeholders, from partnering with senior leaders on high-visibility executive communications to supporting people team initiatives to supporting internal events and activations.

This is an individual contributor role for someone who thrives on variety, picks up new subject matter quickly, and can be trusted to represent the KnowBe4 voice across many different audiences and formats

Responsibilities:

Executive & Leadership Communications

  • Partner with senior leaders and their teams to shape and deliver clear, consistent internal messaging.
  • Draft executive communications, talking points, presentations, and remarks for Daily Briefing, all hands, emails, and other key company moments.
  • Support leaders through organizational changes, strategic announcements, and other high-visibility communications moments.
  • Build trusted relationships with leaders across the business to anticipate communications needs before they arise.

Functional Communications

  • Partner with key functions like HR to write and distribute employee-facing communications, including policy updates, programs, and organizational changes.
  • Draft and edit internal distributions, potential intranet content, and company-wide announcements.
  • Support internal event communications (company anniversaries, Sales Kickoffs, etc.).
  • Support select communications projects on key external events like our annual KB4-CON  customer conference.

General Communications Duties

  • Take on a wide range of ad hoc and ongoing communications projects as business needs evolve — this role is expected to flex across topics, teams, and formats.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, HR, Legal, IT, Culture, etc.) to ensure communications are clear, accurate, and timely.
  • Contribute to the communications calendar to plan and sequence messaging across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Ensure all communications reflect KnowBe4's brand voice, tone, and values.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of communications initiatives, iterating based on feedback and engagement data.
  • Quickly ramp up on new subject matter and stakeholder relationships as assignments shift.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar field, or equivalent working experience
  • 7+ years in a role focused on review generation, customer marketing, or reputation management, with demonstrated ownership of a peer review sourcing program
  • Proven track record building communications strategies and executing against plan
  • Familiarity with Zoom, Zoom Webinar is a plus
  • Experience with Gmail, Google Docs, and MS Office
  • Experience with internal communications tools (intranet platforms, email/newsletter tools, etc.) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple, varied communications projects and stakeholders at once.
  • Experience supporting senior executives or leadership teams with high-visibility communications needs.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style across audiences (executive, HR, all-employee, and beyond).
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with comfort managing shifting priorities and ambiguous scope.
  • Sound judgment handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • Ability to build trust quickly with leaders and cross-functional partners across the business.
  • Comfort learning new subject matter quickly and adapting to new teams and projects.

The base pay for this position ranges from $100,000 - $110,000, which will vary depending on how well an applicant's skills and experience align with the job description listed above.
