Join a team developing and maintaining Java applications for customers in the industrial and manufacturing sector, with a particular focus on welding technologies.

The role combines the enhancement of existing enterprise applications with the development of new features and solutions. You will work across Java, WildFly, ORM frameworks, RabbitMQ, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, containers, virtual machines, and AI-assisted development tools.

The position is remote, with occasional access to customers’ private environments. Travel to the Nordics may be required once or twice per year.

This is you

  • You have senior-level commercial experience in Java development.

  • You have strong hands-on experience with WildFly/JBoss or another enterprise Java application server.

  • You have practical experience with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate.

  • You have strong knowledge of relational databases; experience with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle Database would be an advantage.

  • You have worked with messaging technologies; experience with RabbitMQ or a comparable messaging system is welcome.

  • You understand containers, virtual machines, and the infrastructure surrounding enterprise applications.

  • You are familiar with AI-assisted development tools; experience with AWS Kiro or comparable solutions would be an advantage.

  • You communicate confidently in English.

  • You are proactive, self-driven, collaborative, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

  • Experience in the welding, industrial, or manufacturing domain would be an advantage, but is not must.

This your role

  • Maintain and enhance existing enterprise Java applications.

  • Design and develop new features and solutions based on business requirements.

  • Investigate and resolve software defects, production issues, and technical problems.

  • Work with application servers, relational databases, messaging systems, containers, virtual machines, and related infrastructure.

  • Support the continuous improvement, reliability, performance, and maintainability of the applications.

  • Use AI-assisted development tools to improve development speed and efficiency.

  • Provide software-related expertise to sales and project teams when required.

  • Occasionally access and work within customers’ private environments.

  • Collaborate remotely with the customer and the wider engineering team.

  • Be open to occasional travel to the Nordics, ideally once or twice per year.
