In Bulgaria we are actively seeking a Senior Data Science Engineer to strengthen our team.

Note:The position is remote, the type of contract is fixed labor contract(for the duration of the particular project) afterwards it can be extended to a regular permanent employment.



This is you

  • 7+ years of experience in data science, machine learning or advanced analytics

  • Strong experience with (un)supervised learning, statistical modeling and data analysis

  • Experience working with large-scale transactional or behavioral datasets

  • Strong programming skills in Python (including PySpark & ML libraries) and SQL

  • Experience with model validation, monitoring, and explainability techniques (e.g. SHAP)

  • Understanding of data engineering concepts and collaboration with engineering teams

  • Familiarity with regulated environments (e.g. financial services, AML/KYC) is a strong advantage

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. Databricks, Azure)

  • Ability to translate complex analytics into business-relevant insights

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Fluent in English; other European languages are an advantage

This is your role

  • Developing and implementing machine learning and advanced analytics models using Python, PySpark, and SQL.

  • Applying supervised and unsupervised learning and statistical modeling techniques to large-scale transactional and behavioral datasets.

  • Performing data analysis, feature engineering, and model evaluation to identify patterns and generate actionable insights.

  • Validating, monitoring, and improving model performance, including applying model explainability techniques such as SHAP.

  • Working with cloud-based data platforms, including Databricks and Azure, to develop and operationalize analytical solutions.

  • Collaborating with data engineers and software engineering teams to ensure scalable and reliable data and ML solutions.

  • Translating complex analytical results into clear, business-relevant insights and recommendations.

  • Supporting analytics initiatives in regulated environments, including financial services and AML/KYC use cases.

  • Communicating findings and recommendations to business stakeholders and technical teams.
