Software Engineer III

CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer III opening for our client.

Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead complex systems analysis, application design, development, testing, debugging, and implementation.

• Design and develop solutions using Java/Spring Boot, microservices, React.js, iOS/SwiftUI, and Android/Jetpack Compose.

• Serve as a technical lead and individual contributor on complex projects.

• Prepare technical and functional specifications, project estimates, test plans, and system documentation.

• Analyze complex application integrations, interfaces, platforms, and dependencies.

• Coordinate development activities and mentor less experienced developers.

• Collaborate with development, operations, technology teams, business units, clients, and vendors.

• Evaluate technologies and recommend solutions, processes, and improvements.

• Ensure application performance, development standards, risk controls, and regulatory requirements are maintained.

Scope of Responsibilities:

• Work independently on high-level systems analysis and technical development activities.

• Lead project activities and coordinate the work of other technical resources.

• Drive project milestones and delivery schedules.

• Interact with senior management, technology teams, clients, and vendors.

• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support on complex projects.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

• Direct and monitor less experienced technical resources.

• Coordinate development tasks and provide mentoring and technical guidance.

• Monitor project-related staff performance as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

• Associate degree and 6 years of systems analysis/application development experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience with at least 6 years of relevant experience.

• Strong application development experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and React.js.

• Experience with iOS/SwiftUI and/or Android/Jetpack Compose.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

• Experience coordinating application development with business units.

• Experience recommending and implementing system solutions and driving project delivery.

• Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experience.

• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and work independently.

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Experience with banking/financial services application frameworks.

• Advanced knowledge of integrated and interfacing applications.

• Subject matter expertise in supported business applications.

• Ability to multitask across complex projects and work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $55.98 - $93.29/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
