Overview:

Goldbelt Quantum Solutions specializes in providing expert resources for Public Health missions including scientific, technical, and administrative support from junior staff to high-level subject matter experts. Research and data driven, Goldbelt Quantum Solutions’ experts create solutions customized to the client’s needs. 

Summary:

Goldbelt Quantum Solutions is seeking a Public Health Analyst II to provide public health support for NHSN dialysis event data management and analysis support within the Surveillance Branch (SB).

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide technical expertise on the function and use of the NHSN Dialysis Event module.
  • Conduct user outreach and education and provide consultation/technical assistance to dialysis provider groups, quality improvement organizations, and health departments.
  • Create NHSN system modifications to improve data quality; track modifications.
  • Update surveillance forms, instructions, and protocols with improvement recommendations.
  • Create and manage NHSN data validation projects to evaluate and improve quality.
  • Work with Division SMEs to enhance usability of NHSN surveillance data for prevention efforts.
  • Manage reports, data file exchanges, and agreements between CDC and partner organizations.
  • Review and respond to CMS documents and user inquiries related to NHSN and CMS quality incentive programs.
  • Handle inquiries from NHSN Dialysis Event module users, perform enrollment, and support correct application of CDC HAI definitions and data entry. Expected volume is 212 per month (range 122–415).
  • Identify user/system issues requiring modification; contribute to development and prioritization of NHSN modifications.
  • Develop NHSN modules and electronic reporting mechanisms.
  • Communicate with users, improving interface and analytic/group functions.
  • Prepare and present educational trainings (20–30 annually) about NHSN.
  • Write and review training/educational documents and outreach messages.
  • Provide draft responses to CDC dialysis HAI SMEs and Coalition members using dialysis setting expertise.
  • Plan meetings related to NHSN, the Coalition, and dialysis safety, including agendas, speakers, and logistics.
  • Create and contribute to CDC communication materials promoting HAI prevention strategies.
  • Write/review content for the CDC Dialysis Safety webpage.
  • Perform data management, cleaning, and quality assessment analyses.
  • Perform NHSN data analyses for CMS quality incentive programs and create user reports.
  • Provide subject matter information to inform infection prevention activities.
  • Develop and promote CDC infection prevention and surveillance resources.
  • Review and develop website materials and communications related to infection prevention, surveillance, and response.
  • Participate during CDC response activities and training exercises under direction of the DHQP Team Lead; duties include staffing the EOC desk to help support CDC's mission.
Qualifications:

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Able to provide consultation, technical assistance, and training on program and project implementation to internal and external groups.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in interpersonal exchanges.
  • Ability to work well independently, be solution-oriented, motivated, and committed to customer and company success.
  • Excellent judgment and decision making, with strong analytical skills; business intuition and business acumen.
  • Advanced use of Adobe and Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in program analysis, public health, healthcare, research, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with the government procedures and guidelines.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Public Trust Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in program analysis, public health, healthcare, research, or a related field.
  • Prior experience working with the CDC is highly desired to understand the culture and environment.

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000 annually.
