The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.

Your Responsibilities

As a Part-Time Student Analytics Data Engineer within the Enterprise Aftermarket Data & Analytics (EADA) organization located in Moline, IL or Remote, you will support analytics data products that generate insights and enable business decisions across the aftermarket. This hands-on student role offers exposure to data engineering, analytics, and technology while working with experienced engineers, data scientists, and analytics leaders on meaningful business problems.


• Assist with building, testing, and improving data pipelines, datasets, and analytics data products.
• Support analytics work by preparing data, organizing code, validating outputs, and documenting results.
• Learn and apply data engineering practices related to data quality, repeatable processing, and documentation.
• Help troubleshoot data questions and complete defined tasks that support active analytics delivery work.
• Participate in team ceremonies, code reviews, design discussions, and project check-ins to build technical understanding.

This position is not available to students on immigration visas

What Skills You Need

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline. 


• Foundational experience with Python, PySpark, or similar.


• Interest in data engineering, analytics, cloud platforms, database concepts, and working with large or complex datasets.


• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new tools with coaching.


• Ability to communicate clearly, work collaboratively, and manage school and work priorities.

• Graduation date of Spring 2027 or later.

• Available to work during the academic year (16-20 hours weekly).

• Available to work during the summer semester (30-40 hours weekly).

• Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S/local accredited university/college

• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.

What Makes You Stand Out

• Coursework, project experience, or prior work experience using Python, SQL, Spark, Databricks, GitHub, or similar data and development tools.
• Experience with data analysis, machine learning, statistics, or data engineering through coursework, internships, research, or personal projects.
• Experience with Deere, agriculture, construction, manufacturing, dealer networks, equipment, aftermarket, or similar industries.
• Experience working on team projects where you collaborated, communicated progress, and delivered a defined outcome.
• A growth mindset and desire to build technical depth while learning how analytics products are developed, deployed, and supported in a business environment.

$15 - $40 hourly based on published rates for business function and education level.
