Job description

Company Description

DBC Philippines is the shared services company of Deep Blue Company (DBC) - an innovative Australian scale-up reimagining the experience in the 'sale to settlement' for residential property buyers, sellers and real estate agents across Australia. Our group of brands includes Conveyancing.com.au, First Class Legal and bytherules - three leading Property Law firms.

Job Description

We are looking for a Growth Web Developer to join our team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between web engineering and performance marketing, working directly with our Digital Media team to build, optimise, and scale web experiences across our leading Australian conveyancing brands—including Conveyancing.com.au.

We are looking for a developer who understands that speed equals conversion. You don't necessarily need prior experience in our specific framework (Nuxt), provided you have a strong background in modern web development (such as Next.js, React, or PHP/Laravel), a track record of tuning site performance, and a solid grasp of marketing technology infrastructure.

You will be responsible for:

  • Optimise website performance by improving Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP), PageSpeed Insights, and overall user experience across desktop and mobile.
  • Enhance landing page performance to improve SEO, user engagement, and digital advertising outcomes, including Google Ads Quality Scores.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain edge-rendered web applications using Cloudflare Workers.
  • Build and launch campaign landing pages using Markdown and reusable content components.
  • Implement technical SEO best practices, including metadata, structured data (JSON-LD), canonical tags, XML sitemaps, and OpenGraph tags.
  • Perform ongoing website updates, technical SEO improvements, and content enhancements to support business-as-usual operations.
  • Configure, maintain, and audit Google Tag Manager, GA4, and conversion tracking for Google Ads, Meta, and other marketing platforms.
  • Develop clean, maintainable frontend code using modern web technologies, Tailwind CSS, and engineering best practices.
  • Contribute to Git-based development workflows, including pull requests, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and production issue resolution.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in web development, combining technical, analytical, and creative skills to build high-performing, user-friendly, and search engine-optimised websites.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining modern web applications using frameworks such as Next.js/React, Vue/Nuxt, or Laravel/PHP.
  • Experience with, or a strong willingness to work with, Nuxt 3/4, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Cloudflare Workers.
  • Demonstrated success in web performance optimisation, including improving Core Web Vitals and PageSpeed Insights, with expertise in asset optimisation, caching strategies, and frontend performance best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and conversion tracking to support digital marketing performance and attribution.
  • Solid understanding of technical SEO, including metadata, structured data (Schema/JSON-LD), canonical tags, XML sitemaps, and other on-page optimisation techniques.
  • Proficiency with Git, GitHub, pull request workflows, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development tools.
  • Experience writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code with a strong focus on quality, performance, and best practices.
  • High attention to detail, with proven experience implementing accurate tracking, tagging, analytics, and campaign measurement.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, marketing, and cross-functional teams.
