Job description

Junior Graphic Designer

Build the craft. Learn the brief. Deliver with care.

We’re looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our creative team and build their design career through varied, real-world client work.

This is an early-career opportunity for someone with strong design foundations, a good eye for detail and most importantly, the curiosity and ambition to keep getting better.

You’ll work alongside experienced designers to create clear, engaging and high-quality work across digital, print, learning, campaigns and presentations. You’ll have the support of a Design Lead who’ll provide creative direction, regular feedback and coaching as you develop your craft and creative judgement.

Whether you’re a recent graduate or have already started building professional design experience, this is a role where you can learn by doing and contributing to great work while steadily taking on more responsibility as your confidence and capability grow.

What you’ll bring

We’re less interested in you already knowing everything and more interested in the foundations you’re bringing and where you can go from here.

You’ll thrive in this role if:

  • You have a good foundation in visual design, including layout, typography, hierarchy, colour and imagery.
  • You care about visual quality, clarity and the small details that make work feel considered.
  • You can work confidently from established brand guidelines, templates and creative direction.
  • You think about the audience and purpose behind a piece of work, rather than design for design’s sake.
  • You’re curious, ask thoughtful questions and are willing to explore different approaches.
  • You welcome feedback and can turn it into stronger work next time.
  • You’re organised, dependable and communicate early when you need help or something might affect a deadline.
  • You enjoy collaborating and want to learn from the people around you.
  • You’re interested in new design tools, techniques and better ways of working.
  • You have a portfolio that demonstrates strong design fundamentals and your potential to grow.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll support the creative team in delivering clearly defined pieces of design work for a range of clients and projects.

Working from briefs, brand guidelines and creative direction, you’ll develop ideas into effective visual outputs, prepare work carefully for review and delivery, and build the professional habits that make you a dependable member of a creative team.

You’ll learn to manage your own assigned work and deadlines, check your work carefully before sharing it and take ownership of straightforward design challenges.

You’ll also be encouraged to experiment. We want you to explore ideas, learn from mistakes, listen openly to feedback and apply what you’ve learned to the next piece of work.

As your experience grows, so will your independence. You’ll become increasingly comfortable handling familiar design work without step-by-step guidance and taking on a wider range of creative challenges.

What success looks like

You don’t need to arrive with all the answers.

Success in this role means producing thoughtful, accurate work, following through on your commitments and showing clear development in your craft and judgement.

We’ll see that in the quality and consistency of your work, the way you respond to feedback, how reliably you manage your responsibilities and how positively you contribute to the wider team.

Most importantly, we’ll see you learning — needing less guidance on familiar work over time and becoming increasingly confident in the decisions you make.

What you get

We built our benefits package around what you’ll need to do your best work.

Flexible, remote-first working, with offsites too — Life happens and we get that. If you need to flex, we'll always aim to support that. Work from wherever you do your best thinking. Quarterly in-person team days keep the relationships real.

Travel Insurance — We believe in the importance of face-to-face time at Quadmark, and we want our approach to allow you to spend time with each other, and with clients, when you need to.

Private Medical Insurance — In the UK, we partner with Vitality. Our health and life cover comes with great rewards that help you stay healthy. Because we want you to feel your best.

EAP and mental health support — Access to a confidential Employee Assistance Programme and mental health resources.

Enhanced leave — Depending on your location, it's enhanced beyond statutory. We offer 25 days' leave in the UK specifically. For everyone, we shut down for the holidays too — that’s three extra days of paid leave at the end of the year.

Sound like you?

If you’re at the beginning of your design career, care about making ideas clear and want to develop your craft alongside an experienced creative team, we’d love to see what you can do.

Send us your CV and portfolio and tell us a little about why this feels like the right next step for you.
