Job description

Marketing Specialist — GB Online

About the Role

Gracie Barra Online is Gracie Barra's direct-to-consumer subscription business, serving separate English and Portuguese storefronts. Because trial conversion is already strong, our priority is growing qualified demand — while protecting that conversion and increasing paid subscribers, both monthly and annual.

We're looking for a Marketing Specialist who is a hands-on growth operator: someone who can build acquisition funnels, run Uscreen segmentation and lifecycle campaigns, and independently design the Canva creative that brings those campaigns to life. This is not a general social media role, and it's not a role where finished artwork is handed to you — you build the campaign and the artwork behind it.

This role is ideal for someone who is equal parts strategic and hands-on: comfortable owning a full-funnel number, and just as comfortable opening Canva and producing the ad, email, or landing page that moves that number.

Your Mission

Build a reliable acquisition engine that creates more qualified demand for GB Online and converts that demand into paid, engaged, and retained subscribers across both storefronts — treating creative production, campaign execution, and lifecycle follow-through as one connected job, not separate tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage acquisition funnels, landing pages, and campaigns for both the English and Portuguese storefronts, working to full month-specific trial goals.
  • Protect and improve trial-to-paid conversion through Uscreen segmentation, automations, checkout messaging, and offer testing.
  • Build onboarding, engagement, retention, win-back, and annual-plan upgrade campaigns entirely inside Uscreen.
  • Independently create all day-to-day campaign artwork in Canva — ads, email graphics, landing pages, thumbnails, and promotional assets. There is no dedicated designer; finished artwork will not be supplied.
  • Turn source video, images, and curriculum details from the Content Coordinator into finished, coordinated marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain the storefront scorecard using Uscreen's dashboards and exports, and manage priorities, goals, and milestones in Ninety.io.
  • Adapt (not just translate) campaigns, copy, and offers for the English and Portuguese audiences, tracking results separately by storefront and currency.

Requirements

Experience

  • 2+ years of hands-on marketing experience in a digital subscription, membership, or D2C business, including funnel building, landing pages, and conversion optimization. Trial-based subscription experience is preferred.
  • Direct experience with segmentation, campaign, lifecycle email, and push-notification tools; Uscreen experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated, portfolio-level experience independently designing marketing creative in Canva — this is required, not a nice-to-have, since there is no dedicated designer on the team.

Skills

  • Clear, simple copywriting for email, landing pages, offers, and calls to action.
  • Comfort with subscription metrics: trial cohorts, conversion rates, UTMs, and basic revenue math.
  • Strong project management, QA, and organization across several simultaneous campaigns; Ninety.io experience preferred.
  • Professional English communication required; professional working Portuguese strongly preferred.

Preferred

  • Working knowledge of Jiu-Jitsu and the Gracie Barra Method; twice-weekly product immersion is expected where practical.
