Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Supply Planning Analyst will assist the supply planning function for RealTruck.  The primary purpose of this role will be to develop, deploy, implement, and lead best-in-class Supply Planning and Inventory Management processes, including network wide capacity management, production scheduling, and inventory management.

CORE FUNCTIONS

·       Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Supply Planning processes and procedures within the RealTruck S&OP process.

·       Develop and maintain rough-cut capacity planning and network capacity analyses at the value stream, plant, and subgroup levels to identify constraints, capacity gaps, and opportunities to align supply with demand.

·       Analyze and refresh, on an as needed basis, manufacturing value streams and manufacturing flow based on demand characteristics. 

·       Support the production planning and scheduling process by analyzing production requirements, inventory positions, capacity constraints, and demand priorities. Participate in recurring production and supply planning reviews, highlighting risks, deviations from plan, and potential solutions.

·       Develop, maintain, and analyze Supply Chain dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs), including Schedule Adherence/Attainment, On-Time Delivery (OTD), Fill Rate, inventory levels, days of supply, and other relevant planning metrics.

·       Analyze planning rates and assumptions, including hours per unit (HPU), production rates, efficiencies, and demonstrated versus planned capacity, and recommend updates where appropriate.

·       Develop and maintain statistical inventory models (model stock) to set target finish good and raw material inventory levels. 

·       Support the development and maintenance of finished goods and component inventory policies, including safety stock levels, stocking strategies, replenishment parameters, economic order quantities, and Kanban sizing.

·       Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate supply, inventory, and capacity issues and provide data-driven recommendations to support business decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Finance, Economics, or a similarly analytical discipline is required.

·       2-5+ years of related experience in Supply Chain or Operational Finance required.

·       Expertise in Demand Planning/Supply Planning.

Required Licenses

·       None.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

·       Versed with best-in-class ERP/MRP systems (use, calibration, setting of parameters) and other useful platforms (Excel, Access).

·       Ability to effectively present information to top management.

·       Ability to analyze and communicate numerical data utilizing analysis capabilities.

·       Ability to work cross-functionally with manufacturing, sales and finance.

·       Occasional travel may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

·       This position is subject to Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.

·       The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
