How will you fit in the big picture?

The primary purpose of a Specialist, Supply Planner is to develop and implement a master production schedule and inventory management strategy to support customer service goals and achieve the company’s financial objectives. 

What will you do?

• Develop/maintain planning system settings, calendars and attributes to create a constrained rough-cut master schedule. 

• Build and manage feasible 18-month production schedules supporting sales goals, inventory targets and product age objectives. 

• Coordinate product supply through exception management, capacity analysis, ACC feasibility input and new item integration. 

• Manage FG/intermediate inventory targets, item versions, deployment settings, safety stock opportunities and aged/unsalable risk. 

• Maintain accurate Kinaxis/SAP production/ATP information and support annual planning, analysis and continuous improvement activities. 

• Planning scope: ~150–200 items, 1–6 plants, 10–40 production resources, $160M–$750M sales and $15M–$30M avg. FG inventory. 

• Partners cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Operations Planners and other stakeholders to resolve supply issues. 

Minimum Requirements

• Supply chain management principles; supply planning systems; SAP preferred; understanding of forecasting impact. 

• Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to solve problems independently. 

• Excellent communication and cross-functional partnership skills; teamwork with ability to mentor/train others; strong MS Office/PC skills. 

Experience: 1–3 years progressive related experience in production scheduling, inventory management/deployment or supply/operations planning. 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Logistics, Supply Chain or Engineering, preferably emphasizing Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
