Our tax preparation software offers easy guidance and ensures your maximum tax refund. We strive to build a team of like-minded experts in both tax and technology who align with our brand purpose, are advocates for our customers and have a fresh, non-traditional approach to the tax industry.

TaxAct is a leading digital tax filing platform which offers customers do-it-yourself digital and downloadable products that are easy-to-use, best-in-class technology, and provide unparalleled customer support. We are a trusted solution for all users including those with complex tax returns. We strive to attract and retain candidates who exemplify our values: performance, perseverance, progress and partnership. TaxAct is a member of the Taxwell family of products. We are an organization of forward thinkers looking to add industry experts to our growing team.

We are seeking a Senior CRM Administrator to own the administration, governance, and continuous improvement of our Contentful headless CMS platform supporting TaxWell-family digital properties, including Drake Software and 1040.com.

This role will serve as a key Contentful resource, partnering with Marketing, Content, Product, UX, and Engineering to ensure the platform is reliable, scalable, well-governed, and effective for business users.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on Contentful or headless CMS experience along with the technical fluency to work effectively with engineering teams. This individual should understand how a headless CMS interacts with websites, APIs, integrations, and downstream systems and be comfortable troubleshooting issues and translating requirements between technical and non-technical teams.

The role will also help advance the use of AI and automation to improve content operations, quality, and efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary administrator and subject matter expert for Contentful, supporting platform configuration, governance, and optimization.

  • Design, maintain, and improve reusable content models, including content types, fields, references, validations, and taxonomies.

  • Administer Contentful spaces, environments, users, roles, permissions, workflows, and platform configurations.

  • Establish and maintain content governance standards, publishing workflows, validation rules, and platform best practices.

  • Support content teams with authoring, editing, previewing, publishing, and troubleshooting.

  • Manage Contentful environments and coordinate content model and configuration changes through appropriate testing and release processes.

  • Partner with Engineering on APIs, integrations, webhooks, frontend dependencies, and other technical requirements involving Contentful.

  • Troubleshoot CMS, configuration, publishing, and integration issues, coordinating with Engineering when development support is required.

  • Translate business and content requirements into practical, scalable CMS solutions.

  • Identify opportunities to improve content models, workflows, governance, and operational efficiency.

  • Help identify and implement AI-assisted capabilities for content creation, enrichment, tagging, metadata, quality review, and workflow automation.

  • Maintain platform documentation, standards, procedures, and training materials and provide guidance to Contentful users.

Required Experience

  • 3–5+ years of experience administering, configuring, or supporting an enterprise CMS, with direct Contentful experience strongly preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with headless CMS platforms, including content modeling, structured content, environments, workflows, permissions, and publishing.

  • Experience designing and maintaining reusable content models and workflows.

  • Strong understanding of headless CMS architecture and how content platforms interact with modern websites and digital systems.

  • Technical familiarity with REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, integrations, and modern web applications sufficient to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.

  • Experience troubleshooting CMS, configuration, publishing, and integration-related issues.

  • Ability to translate business and content requirements into scalable CMS solutions.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to platform usability, governance, and content quality.
