Job description

Fyfe is a multi-disciplinary consultancy providing comprehensive engineering, environmental, planning and surveying services throughout Australia. Fyfe work with a wide range of clients in the Energy & Resources and Property & Infrastructure sectors to provide high quality, commercially pragmatic solutions with a strong focus on client service and delivery.

Our Energy and Resources Division works with major exploration and distribution clients to deliver specialist mining, oil and gas projects across the country. These include process plant modifications, upstream flowlines, leases, network gathering and distribution systems, major gas transmission pipelines, oil and gas above ground processing facilities, as well as maintenance, integrity and construction related work programs.

We are recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to be based in our Philippines team and work remotely to support our team and clients in Australia. The successful candidate will initially be hired by our partner agency in the Philippines as Fyfe builds our presence in the Philippines.

About the Role

Fyfe is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Energy and Resources team to work on project portfolios across the energy and resources sectors, specifically mining, oil, and gas. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in evaluating the mechanical behaviour and performance of our designs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers and project managers, to ensure that our products meet industry regulations and exceed client expectations.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification and relevant technical, commercial experience and demonstrated leadership.
  • Typically, 10+ Years experience
  • Possess a strong understanding of ASME B31.3 and AS 2885
  • Experienced with Caesar and Autopipe programs
  • Proficient with EPDECOM
  • General understanding of CP systems
  • Experience within the Australian oil and gas or mining industry preferred (other industry experience also welcomed)
  • Strong analytical and technical report writing skills
  • Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and client requirements
  • A strong commitment to client satisfaction and quality work
  • Commitment to Health and Safety in the workplace and the use of safe work systems
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects
  • Demonstrated team player
