Overseas Customer Service & Sales Consultant

We are currently looking for a customer service and sales superstar to join our Overseas team as an Overseas Customer Service and Sales Consultant. This is a part time role working 22.5 hours per week across 3 day, Monday to Friday on a rotating roster between 8am to 8pm (AWST). You will be required to work at Edith Cowan University in Joondalup. At times you may have the opportunity to work from home or at a Medibank retail store but this role is predominantly working at the uni.

As a member of the Overseas team, a premium service centre, you support a one-stop-shop for all our overseas member needs. Working in a collaborative environment you’ll be providing support, advice and value to our overseas students in relation to their health insurance.

This role is perfect for someone looking to grow their customer service and sales capabilities while building a rewarding career with Medibank.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing a quality service for our valued customers
• Service an end-to-end solution for our Overseas customers
• Identifying and highlighting opportunities to improve the member and billing agent experience
• Occasional presentations to stakeholders and customers
• Assisting customers face-to-face, over the phone (inbound and outbound calls), via emails and over messaging

About You 

We are looking for empathetic and motivated people who are great at communicating via all channels in a compassionate and friendly manner. You know what exceptional customer service looks like because you put yourself in the customer’s shoes. You are someone who thrives on building the business and achieving sales targets. You can think on your feet and tailor your response to different situations and people while thriving on being able to solve problems and offer the right solutions. You’re a team player who will support your colleagues and the team around you to do the best job they can. 

Additional skills and experience: 

• Sales experience is highly regarded but not essential
• Knowledge and understanding of the health, finance, or insurance industry within Australia is desirable
• Self-starter, a drive to pursue own learning and development outcomes and results 
• Can remain calm and professional while dealing with at time challenging situations
• Passionate customer service and a problem solver

As part of this role you will be required to have or obtain a Volunteer Working with Children Check if successful.
