As the Consulting Director – Healthcare Economics in Managed Care & Pricing Strategy, you will:
Advise healthcare executives on managed care strategy, value-based care transformation, reimbursement optimization, and payer-provider financial performance.
Lead healthcare economics analyses and financial modeling efforts to assess contract performance, risk exposure, reimbursement adequacy, and value-based incentive opportunities.
Drive client engagement success through executive advisory services, strategic recommendations, thought leadership, and business development activities.
Lead and direct teams in complex performance improvement engagements while ensuring successful client outcomes.
Apply analytical and critical thinking skills to quantify benefits, identify risks, and develop solutions for performance improvement initiatives.
Communicate effectively to understand client challenges, create customized solutions, and manage client expectations, delivering impactful presentations and proposals.
Build strong relationships and lead change processes, demonstrating expertise in change management and influencing positive change in complex environments.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, Public Health, Business, or a related field
8 + years of consulting and/or performance improvement healthcare experience with a focus on healthcare economics, managed care, value-based care, provider reimbursement, and payer strategy
Experience evaluating and advising clients on managed care contract performance, including contract profitability, reimbursement adequacy, risk-sharing arrangements, quality incentive programs, and network optimization strategies.
Experience leading complex healthcare analytics and modeling initiatives, including areas such as HCC risk adjustment, RAF optimization, clinical risk stratification, cost trend analysis, utilization management, and population health management.
Proven ability to translate complex financial, actuarial, and healthcare economics concepts into actionable recommendations for executive leadership, clinical stakeholders, and payer organizations.
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams, directing client engagements, managing executive-level relationships, and driving strategic transformation initiatives in complex healthcare environments.
The ability to travel based on client, enterprise, or project needs is an essential function of this role. While travel requirements may vary based on business need, the current average travel in the Healthcare practice is less than 50%, annually.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
US Work Authorization required

The estimated base salary for this job is $185,000 - $225,000. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $240,500 - $292,500. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
