Position Title: Gerente de Engenharia de Manutenção e Confiabilidade

Location: Remote, Flexible with location due to extensive travel 

Reports to: Sr Mgr, Automation Engineering 

The evolution of the Newell Brands Supply Chain includes a focus on driving productivity through building capability in people, processes, and technology. PEAK (Planning, Engagement, Achievement, Knowledge), Newell’s branded improvement strategy, is fundamental to that goal. A Center of Excellence with a deep competency in implementing PEAK PACS (Processes, Applications, Capabilities, and Systems) in Supply-Chain and Transactional settings is a crucial element in our future success. The EFO (Equipment and Facility Ownership) Manager leads the team to deploy and maintain the standards for Equipment and Facility Ownership, critical components of PEAK required to drive business results.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver coaching, training, analysis, and project leadership for Equipment Ownership:
  • 6S
  • Equipment Center-lining
  • Autonomous Maintenance
  • Deliver coaching, training, analysis, and project leadership in the following areas: 
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Predictive Maintenance
  • Breakdown Analysis
  • Stores and Spares Optimization
  • Equipment Classification
  • CMMS
  • Manage delivery and execution of the Master Deployment Plan for the building of capability and implementation across the organization to meet defined goals and milestones
  • Partner with Division, Function, and Site leaders in coordinating, developing, implementing, and tracking their EFO and Master Plans 
  • Provide training, coaching, and feedback to direct reports
  • Manage the collective EFO teams schedule to ensure there is adequate support for all sites, and regional stakeholders
  • Develop an overall understanding of PEAK and how EFO links with other PACS
  • Facilitate meetings, kaizen events and workshops to solve urgent business needs 
  • Track key measures of success for EFO that tie directly to lagging performance measures
  • Teach, mentor, and coach Divisional, Functional, and Site leaders on how to apply the appropriate roadmaps and tools to a range of priorities 
  • Manage balanced performance measures Quality, Productivity, Cost, Service, Safety, People
  • Ensure a clear “line of sight” is established between the Organization’s Strategy and the objectives of each team  
  • Establish monthly, quarterly, and annual deployment strategies, plans, and tactics for EFO (including plants, DCs, corporate, etc.)
  • Drive the development and direction of overall EFO strategy for future climbs
  • Track the performance and effectiveness of the PEAK EFO system building and develop tools and processes to communicate with supply chain leadership
  • Assure alignment of EFO initiatives with the Overarching Strategic Plan and PEAK implementation strategy
  • Build capability and deploy systems to optimize value streams and work processes
  • Work with local leaders, build resident PACS teams, systems, and leaders linked to corporate strategy within the organization
  • Link PACS work groups to prioritized business opportunities
  • Select, coach & train “champions”
  • Teach & support the teams in using problem solving & tracking tools 
  • Perform regular & periodic validation
  • Provide guidance and alignment in support of the LATAM PEAK Agenda
  • Build the capability of the key internal resources needed to deliver on critical initiatives
  • Provide analytics and business intelligence to support project selection, root-cause analysis, project validation, etc
  • Develop training sessions for COE teams to build capabilities and understanding of EFO
  • Support strategy and direction for EFO PACS through content development Ensure that PEAK work is impacting both results, and the culture change including:
    • Capability building for setting, tracking and problem-solving
    • Measures Engagement
    • Linkages of individual and team activities to losses and the business need

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar
  • Maintenance and Technical Operations 
  • Strategic and tactical TPM or Maintenance Excellence Sigma experience 
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and timelines
  • Experience working in an organization with a Continuous Improvement methodology (TPM, Lean, Six Sigma) with a focus on Policy Deployment, Goal Alignment, Education & Training, etc
  • Experience with maintenance routines – Plan, execution, feedback
  • Advanced English

**Position will require 50% travel to various sites across LATAM and North America
