How will you fit into the big picture?

The Associate Manager, Customer Planning turns commercial strategies into integrated, executable sales and trade plans that strengthen customer and business outcomes. In partnership with customer teams and cross-functional colleagues, you will build planning discipline, maintain accurate forecasts and trade plans, identify risks and opportunities, and translate data into clear recommendations. This is an opportunity to shape better decisions, improve planning quality, and help Hershey win with customers. 

What will you do?

  • Build and maintain annual, quarterly, and in-year sales, volume, and trade plans aligned with customer and business priorities.
  • Translate commercial strategies, customer programs, item plans, and merchandising opportunities into clear assumptions and executable actions.
  • Maintain accurate PlanEx sales and trade details, including transparent documentation of assumptions, drivers, and initiatives.
  • Review KPIs, forecasts, trade investment, and execution to identify and size risks, opportunities, and gap-closing actions.
  • Analyze customer, promotional, forecast, and financial data to deliver actionable insights, scenarios, and recommendations.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, and Category Management to align plans and resolve issues.
  • Represent Sales and Integrated Demand Planning in KEM meetings, SKU rationalization, and product hierarchy changes.
  • Improve forecast accuracy, trade planning, reporting, data quality, governance, and team ways of working.

Minimum Education & Requirements

Experience: 3+ years of experience in Finance, Sales, Analytics, Customer Planning, Demand Planning, Category Management, or a related field. Planning or forecasting experience preferred.  Education: Bachelor's degree required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong business, financial, and analytical acumen.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Knowledge of forecasting, customer planning, and trade management processes.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, ownership, and adaptability.
