Job description

Internship Details: 

Provides support to various activities within the Communications Department, including creative, campaign, media, and administrative tasks. Develops social media content, including visuals, reels, short videos, and long-form materials, using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator)


Learning Opportunities:

  • Gain hands-on experience in stakeholder relations and communications within an international humanitarian organization. 
  • Learn to use event management processes and tools. 
  • Observe the planning and strategizing of campaigns.  
  • Understand the principles of humanitarian work and network with internationally experienced humanitarians. 
  • Learn concepts of pre-bunking, digital verification, disinformation narrative analysis, and case resolution. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to various Communication department activities such as Creative, Campaign, Media, and Administration activities.

Location:  MSF South Asia, M2M VERANDA Offices, 34, W A D Ramanayake Mawatha, Colombo 02 

Work Timing:Monday - Friday, 9 am – 5.30 pm

Requirements

  •         Completed an undergraduate degree in a related field. 
  •         Familiarity with and passion for humanitarian work.  
  •         Strong graphic design skills.
  •         Adaptable, collaborative, strong organizational skills
