As a Working Student in our Innovation & Economy team, you will gain first-hand experience at the intersection of AI research, entrepreneurship, and innovation. You will work with a diverse network of stakeholders and contribute to projects that strengthen one of Europe's most dynamic AI ecosystems.
 

Your Mission

In this position, you will support initiatives that connect researchers, startups, corporates, and investors while helping to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the AI landscape.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market, technology, and ecosystem research, and prepare executive summaries, reports, and evaluations.
  • Support innovation programs and strategic initiatives through research, analysis, presentation preparation, and technology scouting.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, startups, and innovation opportunities.
  • Help organize events such as founders' breakfasts, networking meetups, and delegation visits, including planning, logistics, and stakeholder communication.
  • Monitor trends in AI research, technology, and innovation ecosystems, and explore, test, and support the integration of new AI tools and methods.
  • Maintain and further develop internal databases, ecosystem insights, and project documentation.

Your profile

We're looking for a motivated and curious student who is excited about AI, innovation, and emerging technologies.
You Bring:

  • Strong interest in artificial intelligence, technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, or related fields, combined with curiosity for the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
  • A structured, analytical, and proactive approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, alongside a reliable, flexible, and hands-on mindset.
  • Excellent English skills (C1 or higher); German is a plus.
  • Academic research experience and familiarity with AI-related topics, methods, or technologies are highly desirable. Students from machine learning, computer science, robotics, data science, or related fields are particularly encouraged to apply.

Cyber Valley has offices in Stuttgart and Tübingen. For this position, we are looking for someone to mainly work from the Stuttgart office. Remote work is also available. Ideally, you will work 40-80 hours a month. We pay according to the public sector pay scale for student assistants. We are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.
