Video Editor

Company: YouStudio TV

About YouStudio TV

YouStudio TV is a growing media production business specializing in podcast production, content creation, event planning, and event execution. As the company continues to grow rapidly, we are expanding our production capabilities and looking for talented individuals who can help us scale without sacrificing the quality, consistency, and experience our clients expect.

With a growing volume of podcast episodes and content entering production, we are looking for a skilled and dependable Video Editor to join our team and play a critical role in managing our editing pipeline.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple projects efficiently, and wants to grow alongside an ambitious and evolving media company.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Video Editor to edit and produce high-quality podcast and video content for YouStudio TV.

The ideal candidate is more than just technically proficient. We need someone who can work independently, follow established editing templates and workflows, manage deadlines, and consistently produce polished content at scale.

As YouStudio TV transitions toward a cloud-based production workflow, this person must be comfortable accessing, organizing, editing, and delivering large video files remotely through cloud storage and collaborative systems.

The successful candidate will help us work through existing content while supporting the company's continued growth and increasing production volume.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit podcast episodes and other long-form video content from raw footage through final delivery.
  • Produce polished, professional video content that meets YouStudio TV's quality standards.
  • Follow established editing templates, formatting requirements, and brand guidelines to ensure consistency across projects.
  • Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines and production schedules.
  • Work with footage and project files through cloud-based storage and collaboration systems.
  • Organize raw footage, project files, exports, and other production assets efficiently.
  • Identify opportunities to improve editing workflows and production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the YouStudio TV team to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.
  • Make revisions based on feedback while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.
  • Help manage and reduce the existing backlog of podcast episodes awaiting editing.
  • Maintain a high level of quality across all content, even while working within a high-volume production environment.
  • Communicate proactively regarding project progress, potential delays, technical issues, or additional needs.
  • Support the continued development and scalability of YouStudio TV's production systems.

Required Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Proven professional experience as a Video Editor.
  • Strong experience editing podcasts, interviews, long-form content, or similar media productions.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Experience working with additional professional video editing and production tools.
  • A strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, transitions, audio synchronization, and visual flow.
  • Experience editing multi-camera footage.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistency across multiple projects.
  • Experience managing large video files and working within organized file structures.
  • Comfort working with cloud-based storage and remote collaboration workflows.
  • The ability to follow established templates, processes, and creative direction.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • The ability to work independently without requiring constant supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills and responsiveness.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, preference may be given to candidates with experience in:

  • Podcast production and editing.
  • Multi-camera podcast or interview editing.
  • Event production or event-related content.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud applications beyond Premiere Pro.
  • Adobe After Effects.
  • Audio editing and enhancement.
  • Color correction and basic color grading.
  • Motion graphics and animated elements.
  • YouTube content production and optimization.
  • Working with high-volume content production teams.
  • Remote production workflows.
  • Cloud-based media management systems.

Technical Requirements

Candidates should have reliable access to the tools and technology necessary to perform the role effectively, including:

  • A computer capable of efficiently editing high-resolution video files.
  • A reliable and high-speed internet connection.
  • Access to or experience with Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Experience working with cloud storage platforms and remotely shared media files.
  • The ability to upload and download large video files efficiently.
  • A professional and reliable remote work environment.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

A successful Video Editor at YouStudio TV will:

  • Consistently deliver high-quality edits on schedule.
  • Help reduce and eventually eliminate the current content backlog.
  • Follow established templates and workflows without sacrificing creativity or quality.
  • Be dependable enough to take ownership of assigned projects.
  • Communicate proactively rather than waiting for problems to become urgent.
  • Handle an increasing volume of content as the company continues to scale.
  • Help improve production efficiency and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
  • Protect the quality, consistency, and reputation that YouStudio TV is building with its clients and audience.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who understands that this role is about more than editing individual videos.

YouStudio TV is growing quickly, and we need a professional who can grow with us.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, technically skilled, adaptable, and capable of handling responsibility. They should be comfortable working in an environment where systems are evolving, production volume is increasing, and there is a real opportunity to help shape the future of the company's editing and production operations.

We want someone who takes pride in their work, respects deadlines, communicates clearly, and understands that maintaining quality becomes even more important as a business scales.

If you are a skilled Video Editor who enjoys working in a fast-moving production environment and wants to become an important part of a growing media company, we would love to hear from you.
