Job description

Growth Strategy Manager

Job Description — Coraggio Group

Coraggio Group is a boutique management consulting firm helping leaders in travel and tourism, government, education, and nonprofit organizations build bold strategies and execute with confidence. We work at the intersection of strategic planning, organizational effectiveness, and destination development, and we're growing.

The Growth Strategy Manager is a newly shaped role that sits at the center of how we win work, tell our story, and build Coraggio's reputation in competitive markets. It's primarily a proposal leadership role, but it extends into the content, positioning, and competitive intelligence work that makes our proposals stronger and our firm more visible — and increasingly, into how we develop and bring our consulting service offerings to market.

This is the right role for someone who writes well, thinks strategically, and finds genuine satisfaction in the craft of making a firm's expertise legible and compelling to the people who are deciding who to hire. Experience in product marketing or service line development is a meaningful advantage.

THE ROLE AT A GLANCE

Proposal ownership is the primary responsibility of this role. Everything else — competitive positioning, case study development, firm content, and service offering development — supports, strengthens, and extends that core function. The Growth Strategy Manager leads end-to-end proposal development, manages the firm's competitive positioning assets, builds the content infrastructure that lets Coraggio show up confidently in every competitive situation, and increasingly shapes how Coraggio's consulting services are defined and positioned in the market.

Key Responsibilities

Proposal Leadership and Process Ownership

This is where the role starts and where it stays anchored. You'll own the full proposal lifecycle from the moment an RFP lands to the moment a submission goes out the door.

  • Lead the full proposal lifecycle from intake through submission, including RFP triage, response planning, timeline management, and final quality review

  • Proactively search for and identify relevant RFP opportunities for consulting leadership consideration

  • Develop proposal structures, messaging frameworks, and narrative strategy for each pursuit

  • Coordinate contributors across the consulting team and manage review cycles without losing momentum

  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with RFP requirements across all submissions

  • Lead post-submission debriefs and apply learnings to continuously improve proposal quality and win rates

  • Maintain and evolve Coraggio's proposal library, templates, and reusable content assets

  • Track and report on the business development and proposal pipeline for firm leadership

Competitive Positioning and Intelligence

Proposals don't exist in a vacuum. You'll maintain an active, current understanding of how Coraggio compares to the firms we most often compete against and use that knowledge to sharpen how we position ourselves.

  • Maintain a working competitive intelligence summary for Coraggio's key competitor firms, updated at least quarterly

  • Monitor how competitors structure proposals, describe their methodologies, and articulate their differentiators

  • Surface competitive positioning insights proactively and translate them into proposal strategy and firm messaging

  • Contribute to win/loss analysis and identify patterns that inform future pursuit strategy

Case Study Strategy and Development

One of Coraggio's most important growth levers is closing the gap between our reputation and our documented proof. You'll own the systems and content that make our track record visible and persuasive.

  • Lead a proactive case study development program with an ongoing pipeline of projects to document

  • Partner with consultants during and after project delivery to capture outcomes, client context, and measurable results before they're forgotten

  • Develop and maintain a framework for quantifying project outcomes, not just describing activities

  • Write and maintain a library of case studies organized by sector, service line, and challenge type, formatted for rapid deployment in competitive proposals

  • Identify which case studies are doing the most work in proposals and which need to be strengthened or replaced

Firm Positioning and Content Development

Beyond individual proposals, you'll own the content that represents Coraggio's expertise and capabilities to the market, working in close partnership with firm leadership.

  • Maintain and evolve Coraggio's capabilities narrative, including sector-specific service descriptions, methodology summaries, and firm boilerplate

  • Draft and manage thought leadership content — articles, LinkedIn posts, white papers, and similar — that reinforces Coraggio's expertise and competitive positioning

  • Write award applications, recognition submissions, and external visibility opportunities that build firm credibility over time

  • Develop capabilities one-pagers and service-line summaries tailored to Coraggio's core sectors

  • Partner with firm leadership to identify and begin positioning for strategic pursuits before RFPs are formally issued

  • Support the development and preparation of pitch materials, presentations, and related pursuit collateral

Consulting Service Offering Development and Positioning

As Coraggio continues to grow and evolve its service model — including the integration of the Destination Wayfinder framework and platform — there is an emerging and strategically important opportunity for the Growth Strategy Manager to help define, package, and position Coraggio's consulting service offerings as distinct, market-facing products. This is a developing area of responsibility that will grow in scope as the firm's offering strategy matures.

  • Partner with firm leadership to identify consulting service lines that are candidates for structured packaging and market positioning

  • Apply product marketing thinking — value proposition development, buyer persona analysis, competitive differentiation — to Coraggio's consulting service offerings

  • Develop positioning frameworks and messaging for service offerings that can be used consistently across proposals, marketing content, and client conversations

  • Lead go-to-market planning for new or newly repositioned service offerings, including launch sequencing, content needs, and enablement materials

  • Collaborate with the consulting team to translate methodology and delivery experience into compelling, market-ready service narratives

  • Support integration of the Destination Wayfinder stewardship framework into Coraggio's tourism consulting service portfolio, including positioning and client-facing materials

  • Monitor market signals and client feedback to inform service offering evolution and identify new positioning opportunities

Who We're Looking For

YOU BRING

YOU'RE ENERGIZED BY

  • 3 to 6+ years of proposal, content, business development, or product marketing experience, ideally in consulting or professional services

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills across proposal, marketing, and narrative formats

  • Strong project management instincts and the ability to coordinate contributors under deadline pressure

  • A genuine understanding of how consulting firms differentiate themselves and what makes a proposal persuasive

  • Comfort working directly with senior leaders and subject matter experts

  • Experience with or interest in AI tools in proposal and content development workflows

  • Experience in product marketing, go-to-market strategy, or service line positioning

  • The craft of making complex expertise clear, compelling, and scannable for decision-makers

  • Owning a process end-to-end rather than waiting for direction

  • Building systems that make the whole team faster and more effective

  • Competitive situations where good positioning and strong writing make a real difference

  • Working in a small, high-trust firm where your judgment is valued and your contributions are visible

  • Shaping how a firm's expertise is packaged and brought to market as distinct, compelling service offerings

Important Distinctions

This is not a sales role. The Growth Strategy Manager supports business development through positioning, content, and proposal quality, but doesn't manage client relationships or own a revenue target.

This is not a project delivery role. The boundary is clear: this role is firm-facing and growth-facing, not client delivery-facing. Scope creep into consulting work isn't the expectation or the goal.

Proposal timelines take priority. Growth strategy, content, and service offering work is meaningful and important, but gets scheduled around proposal commitments, not the other way around.

Service offering development is a growing, not guaranteed, scope. This area of responsibility will expand as the firm's service strategy matures. It is a real and intentional direction — but early-stage work, not a fully defined program today.
