Job description

This is a remote position.

Paralegal – Australian Family Law Support

Build on your legal support experience in a stable, permanent role assisting an Australian legal practice with client files, court documents, disclosure, mediation preparation and day-to-day matter coordination.

The role

You will support solicitors across active client matters, helping keep files accurate, documents moving and court and client deadlines under control. The work includes drafting routine legal correspondence and court documents from instructions and precedents, filing approved documents, preparing briefs and mediation materials, organising financial disclosure and maintaining clear records in Smokeball.

This role suits an experienced paralegal or legal assistant who is organised, calm under competing priorities and comfortable taking ownership of routine follow-up. You will work independently within clear instructions while knowing when a matter needs solicitor review or escalation.

What you will do

·       Manage client files and maintain accurate, current records in Smokeball.

·       Prepare general correspondence and court documents using instructions, precedents and approved templates.

·       File approved court documents and retain confirmations and complete records.

·       Help prepare briefs, chronologies, indexes and mediation materials.

·       Review and organise financial disclosure documents, identify missing items and follow up as directed.

·       Manage diaries, appointments, key court dates, reminders and task follow-ups.

·       Communicate professionally with clients about documents, appointments and administrative next steps.

·       Provide reliable administrative support to solicitors across multiple active matters.

Requirements

·       At least 2 years’ experience as a paralegal, legal assistant or in a closely equivalent legal support role.

·       Hands-on experience preparing legal correspondence and documents, not only formatting or data entry.

·       Strong file administration, diary management and deadline-control skills.

·       The ability to manage competing matters, follow through on routine actions and raise risks early.

·       High attention to detail, sound confidentiality practices and clear written and spoken English.

·       A proactive, personable working style and the judgment to work independently within delegated authority.

Highly regarded

·       Australian family law experience or a working understanding of family law procedures and court documents.

·       Smokeball or similar legal practice management software.

·       Commonwealth Courts Portal filing experience.

·       Experience organising financial disclosure.

·       Direct client communication in a legal environment.

Benefits

  • PHP 50,000–60,000 per month
  • 100% work from home with complete company equipment provided
  • HMO coverage from Day 1
  • 20 days paid leave per year: 15 annual leave and 5 sick leave, accruing from Day 1
  • 13th month pay and government-mandated benefits
  • Annual rate and performance review
  • Training, coaching and ongoing professional development
  • Regular staff events and team activities

Salary: 50000 - 60000
