Job Description:

Overview: Ready to make your impact within our Risk Assurance, Assessments team that supports the retail business by reducing risk through assessments and process improvement? During this Co-Op, you will learn the importance of risk assessments, how to create and conduct risk assessments, analyze data, and drive continuous improvement while upholding Corporate Risk & Compliance standards. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to conduct business-related research and writing- all while managing risk with style! The Team: Risk Assurance, a function within Corporate Risk and Compliance, aims to proactively reduce risk within our organization through partnering with subject matter experts across TJX. Risk Assurance assess existing processes in conjunction with business needs and requirements. The Opportunity: Our Risk Assurance group is expanding! We have added a Risk Assurance, Assessments Co-Op Student to support Risk Assurance functions including, but not limited to, business-related research and writing, risk assessments, data analytics, and process improvement. This is a hybrid position with Tuesday and Wednesday as in-person office days. Responsibilities: • Partners to conduct business-related research and writing • Partners to monitor and collect updated departmental documentation • Partners to design, implement and conduct select Risk Assurance assessments • Partners to perform root cause analysis on assessment findings • Collaborates with subject matter experts across TJX • Participates in Lean Six Sigma Training • Completes a Risk Assurance entrance, midterm, and exit survey • Other duties as assigned to support business objectives Who we are looking for: We are looking for a current student who is a highly motivated self-starter, with the ability to prioritize effectively, be proactive and flexible, and demonstrate a strong bias for action in a professional environment. Additional skills include: • An interest in pursuing a future career in risk, compliance, or law • Excellent written and verbal communication • Eager to learn new information • Maintains confidence with business information • Critical thinking, attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Proficient with Office 365 Suite Your Future: High performing co-ops may be offered one of multiple opportunities upon successful completion of their co-op experience: • Return for a second Risk Assurance, Assessments co-op opportunity • Join us in a full-time Risk & Compliance role after graduation
