Job Description:

The Opportunity: HomeGoods at TJX is offering co-op opportunities in our Framingham, MA offices to students seeking to learn, grow and contribute in a fast-paced, dynamic corporate organization. If you are inquisitive about how Store Operations drives store processes and reporting in order to support operations of a growing HomeGoods Stores Organization, then this opportunity is the right one for you!  This co-op role will provide business and analytical support for critical initiatives that you will be on the ground floor developing and creating, all while learning and understanding the TJX retail business operating model. You will be assigned projects that contribute to business strategy, as well as assist with daily activities within the Store Operations function. You will collaborate with experienced professionals, managers and senior leaders, to ensure we are managing and executing assigned projects and deliverables in a timely, effective, and efficient manner. What you will do: ⁄ Gain valuable experience through a variety of job responsibilities, projects and initiatives in Store Operations ⁄ Perform your own analysis projects ⁄ Contribute to ongoing projects to be used in developing HomeGoods Store Operations strategy ⁄ Work cross functionally within other areas of TJX, such as Finance, Human Resources, Distribution, IT, Real Estate, Global Payments and Marketing ⁄ Create presentations / reports / communications for use by senior management ⁄ Interact with all levels of management Each co-op will receive targeted supervision and guidance, hands-on training to facilitate learning, while given a high degree of autonomy - providing the tools for success in a global Fortune 100 retail environment.  What You Will Get Out of It: ⁄ Learn about the unique business model of TJX / Deeper understanding of retail operations strategy and execution ⁄ Be part of a small team and be able to see the direct impact you have on a growing brand Who We Are Looking For: It Just Might Be You. We are looking for current students who are highly motivated self-starters, with the ability to prioritize effectively, be proactive and flexible, and demonstrate a strong bias for action in a fast-paced professional environment. Additional skills include: ⁄ Students who are sincerely interested in a career in Retail Store Operations ⁄ Must be detail oriented ⁄ Proficient in Excel (i.e. pivot tables, charts, v-look up, etc.) and PowerPoint ⁄ Proven leadership abilities with strong quantitative and analytical skills ⁄ Ability to work with numbers and create compelling presentations ⁄ Ability to anticipate and think-through the impact of decisions ⁄ Excellent communicators, who are able to concisely and effectively deliver results ⁄ Strong interpersonal skills with experience in working in teams and communicating to groups ⁄ Demonstrated effective time management skills to ensure all projects are completed in an effective and timely manner ⁄ Ability to work in a fast paced environment on simultaneous projects both independently and in team environments ⁄ Willingness to seek out feedback, and ability to incorporate feedback to enhance performance Key Qualifications: ⁄ Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics (Other majors may be considered)
