Job Description:

Global Safety & Security (GSS) is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for our Associates around the world in stores, distribution centers, offices, and while traveling. GSS is comprised of a team that focuses on workplace safety, global travel security, event safety, and executive services as well as operating a 24/7 365 Global Safety & Security Center (GSSC). The GSS team and GSSC partner with business groups across the organization to include Loss Prevention, Operations, Buying, IT, Home Office, Logistics, and HR. The team oversees all physical TJX assets in North America and is responsible for responding to any major incident that could impact our people and operations, such as significant weather, protests, and workplace safety incidents. The team is passionate on being people first, focusing on being proactive and innovate to ensure we are keeping Associates safe in many different environments. GSS is always keeping an eye on the ever-advancing security tech landscape to determine how it could help continue to keep TJX Associates safe in an evolving global and retail landscape. What this Co-op could look like based on continuous improvement and upcoming projects: Assist in streamlining critical projects between the GSS Team and the Global Safety & Security Center to improve processes and documentation Learn and understand existing technology platforms to identify and develop future protocols and best practices Support the integration of new technologies such as a new global travel security assessment and incident management tools Analysis of current social media platform rules and regulations to help enhance the GSS Team’s open source intelligence research capabilities Review of current case management platforms and determination of future roadmap and standard operation procedures Assist in ongoing development and improvement of KPI and metric reporting through different platforms, to include Power BI and Salesforce Research countries and cities around the world to support TJX’s Global Travel Security Services Review current GSS training content and materials and make recommendations on future improvements Who we are looking for: Interest in corporate security, safety, law enforcement, technology and systems Criminal justice or similar concentration preferred Previous work experience in retail preferred Excellent relationship development skills and cross functional collaboration Excellent presentation and verbal and written communication skills Self-motivator and must have the ability to prioritize projects Demonstrated experience in a multi-tasked environment
