Senior Partner Solution Engineering Manager

As a Cloudera Senior Partner Solutions Engineering Manager, you will be a strategic leader driving the adoption of Cloudera's Enterprise Data Platform across the most critical technology alliances. You will leverage technical and business acumen to accelerate cloud-native adoption and deliver high-impact AI-driven data solutions with partners like NVIDIA, Dell, IBM, Salesforce, Informatica, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

This role requires a blend of leadership, technical depth, and strategic partnership management to drive growth and market leadership.

As the Senior Partner Solution Engineering Manager you will: 

  • Lead and mentor a world-class team of Partner Solutions Engineers while fostering deep, strategic relationships with technology partners and key alliances.

  • Drive Cloudera's technology alliances strategy, managing joint go-to-market (GTM) and co-engineering initiatives with major partners.

  • Interpret complex customer problems to design and deliver simple, winning solutions. Present the roadmap, technical vision, and business outcomes to stakeholders, from developers to CTOs and CIOs.

  • Experience in moving prospects through the sales pipeline to close deals through RFPs, hands-on labs, proof of concepts and technical wins.

  • Collaborate with the Channels & Alliances team to develop and execute sales plays focused on acquiring new logos.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and partners to develop initiatives and programs to strengthen Cloudera’s capabilities and develop joint solutions to address customer needs and market opportunities

  • Act as the voice of partners at Cloudera, providing market and product feedback to Engineering and Product Management to directly influence product direction and roadmap strategy.

  • Act as a player/coach, providing strategic support and building key leadership relationships across both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Act as a technology evangelist through external thought leadership (blogs, industry events, community engagement).

We’re excited about you if you have: (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience building, leading, and managing high-performing solution engineering or alliances teams.

  • Alliance Expertise: Strong experience with:

    • System Integrators (GSIs/RSIs): Working with firms (e.g., Accenture, Deloitte, Wipro, TCS, Capgemini) to build, deliver, or monetize joint offerings.

    • Software and Hardware Partners (ISVs/IHVs): Collaborating with partners (e.g., NVIDIA, Dell, Informatica, Qlik, Salesforce) on co-engineering and solution certification.

    • Cloud Service Providers (CSPs): Good understanding of hyperscaler cloud architectures and ability to collaborate with them.

  • GTM & Business Acumen: Experience managing joint business initiatives, including co-sell programs and marketplace integrations.

  • Data Ecosystem Knowledge: Strong foundation in the Big Data ecosystem (Spark, Hive, Impala) and modern data management principles, including the shift to separate storage and compute environments.

  • Technical Fluency: Comfort with Infrastructure (Kubernetes), common programming languages (Java/.NET/Python), and SQL.

  • Education: Four-year degree (Bachelor's) from an accredited university.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

You may also have: (Preferred Qualifications): 

  • Prior experience driving SI joint go-to-market strategies or establishing cloud partnership programs.

  • Solution Architecture/Engineering experience, including whiteboarding, designing, and demonstrating real business value with hands-on technical skills.

  • Familiarity with GenAI and traditional AI concepts from a pre-sales point of view.

  • Experience with Streaming technologies (NiFi, Kafka, Flink) or NoSQL databases (HBase, Cassandra).

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is:
California: $180,000 - $225,000

Colorado: $180,000 - $225,000

Illinois: $180,000 - $225,000

Maryland: $180,000 - $225,000

Massachusetts: $180,000 - $225,000

New York: $180,000 - $225,000

New Jersey: $180,000 - $225,000

Washington: $180,000 - $225,000

Individual compensation within the published range is determined by the candidate's skills, experience, qualifications, and primary work location. In addition to base pay, sales roles are eligible for Cloudera's commission plan, while non-sales roles are eligible for the corporate incentive plan. All employees receive a comprehensive benefits package.
