Job Description Summary

The Parts Service Specialist is a key member of the Spares & Repairs team to manage the Inquiry To Remittance (ITR) process, interpreting customer RFQ requirements, quoting, processing customer’s POs and ensuring the timely delivery of the customer order. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Essential Responsibilities :
    As the Parts Services Specialist you will:

  • Work within the GE Power Conversion Parts & Repairs team to deliver quotes in response to customer queries
  • Work across the GE Power Conversion business segments
  • Own the day to day RFQ fulfillment process, receive and validate purchase orders, and pass them to the Order Fulfillment team
  • Receive and log Request for Quotations (RFQs) from customers.  Including specific attention to the support of Rapid Quote response
  • Identify the requested part, and provide quotations to customers using the standard Parts Book, pricing
  • Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure on time quote delivery, including Material Management, Sourcing, Parts Definition team
  • Maintenance of all information of quotes in the quote tool (SFDC) to ensure accurate financial forecasting
  • Raise workflows to create and update parts
  • Resolve customer issues
  • Receive and check Purchase Orders
  • Accurately transfer process customer’s Purchase Orders, for Order fulfillment.
  • Work with GE internal customers, warehouses, Fleet managers and Field Engineers, to support customer requirements and issues.
  • Act as lead fulfillment operational liaison for your required orders with GE sites, Sourcing, Planning and logistics service providers to support your customer order.
  • Ensure that all transactions are completed within ERP system and support invoice processing/collections as needed by the managing team.
  • Ensure that the business complies with local guidelines and laws, and GE policy

Qualifications/Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field from an accredited university or college (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience)
  • Minimum 2 years in a customer-oriented or quote management role

The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
