Job Description Summary

The Enterprise Development, Growth, and Excellence (EDGE) team is an enterprise-focused organization that empowers GE Vernova to outperform peers by accelerating and delivering integrated value greater than the sum of its individual business segments. The Customer Solutions team within EDGE focuses on on our most strategic customers, projects, and countries.
The Enterprise Commercial Operations Leader within the Commercial Excellence team in Customer Solutions will drive process excellence by establishing standard work through a One GE Vernova approach with the aim of creating deeper customer loyalty, securing a competitive advantage for GE Vernova, and creating enduring value for GE Vernova’s most strategic accounts, projects, and countries. This individual will help foster a customer-centric culture and serve as a focal point to improve the commercial deal-making experience for GE Vernova customers.
This role requires a dynamic individual with process excellence expertise, a passion for improving customer outcomes, and a knack for challenging the status quo. This individual will collaborate with the GE Vernova business units to drive commercial operational excellence for integrated solutions with a framework that is scalable to all GE Vernova accounts.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-wide processes that improve customer satisfaction, commercial execution, and internal collaboration, making it easier for customers to do business with GE Vernova
  • Partner closely with business unit and functional commercial leaders to ensure consistent application and alignment of commercial practices
  • Frame NDAs & Agreements: Partner with Legal & Strategic Account Program Manger to streamline and standardize customer engagement documentation
  • Help coordinate EDGE Commercial and Customer input to strategic decisions and governance for enabling platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft, and other digital tools)
  • Establish and lead an enterprise steering committee to drive alignment across commercial excellence, project controls, and enterprise sales enablement.
  • Perform value stream mapping in cross-business commercial functions to identify pain points and unnecessary waste that makes it hard for customers to do business with GE Vernova
  • Drive change management and continuous improvement by translating value stream mapping results into lean roadmaps, standard work, and sustainable operating rhythms that ensure long-term adoption and accountability across the business
  • Develop mechanisms to identify and provide visibility of cross-BU opportunities very early in the development cycle to facilitate coordination
  • Establish processes and standard work to enable coordination across business units for commercial opportunities that originate in a single business unit

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Significant progressive experience in commercial operations within energy, industrial, or technology sectors
  • Proven track record leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience delivering measurable improvements in commercial operations
  • Demonstrated expertise in process design and change management leadership
  • Expertise in pricing and pricing analytics

  • Ability to influence across all levels of GE Vernova and business units
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinker with an operational mindset and a passion for customer advocacy

For candidates applying to a Canadian-based position, the pay range for this position is between $200K and $250K CAD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.

The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
